"This is the only hotel nearby, so there aren’t really many options to begin with. That being said, my overall experience was good (except for some noisy people in the room upstairs, which I reported to reception, but it wasn’t really addressed); it’s close to the town and in a quiet area, and unless you have noisy neighbors, you should have a pretty decent night’s sleep. "King Hotel Palmerston was a great choice for our stay. The room was simple, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. It was quiet, which made for a good night’s sleep, and the location was convenient for our softball tournament. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay, I’d definitely recommend it."

"The man at the desk was very kind. I got what I paid for but Expedia is a huge disappointment and I will NEVER use them again. This is the 2nd time they have caused me grief."

"I was a little nervous about the “no check-in desk” (only emailed codes for the main entry and room doors) but it all worked out fine. The room was decorated interestingly. The scent of the soap/Shampoo was not for us, but the staff came minutes after we emailed them to remove it. Coffee shop is great. Location can’t be beat. Owner sat out on the porch one day chatting with guests. Friendly guy!"

"An adequate hotel with limited service. The lack of an elevator makes your comings and goings somewhat of an exercise. The staff was friendly but the decor is rather gloomy."

"The Inn is not an Inn , simply rooms over a restaurant, That said, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. And the staff kind and helpful. The unfortunate experience was the price, $491 for a room that sold for $161 plus tax the next night, more in line with the facility. Only a room."
