Nice spacious house with lots of bathrooms! And right on the beach! We loved our stay there over Christmas with our family.

Beautiful views from the property! Had plenty of space for family and extended family for our Thanksgiving dinner! Plenty of pots, pans, and etc. to accommodate cooking our dinner. I loved being able to bring my pet! Absolutely loved being able to walk out to the beach! The house was a little used which was mentioned but the pictures of the house I feel didn’t fully represent the damage and cleanliness of the property. At least 1 bed needed updated as the couple that slept there were in a hole in the middle of the bed :). We were a little disappointed about door knobs falling off or doors no closing, but I mentioned it to the owner and they sent maintenance out the next day. Overall cleanliness needs to be addressed. A lot of scuff marks on the wall which made it feel not clean. And the toast/ coffee pots, door jams, etc… just needed to be wiped down. Overall we had a great trip!

Perfect spot for a large group. The convenience of being right on the beach was awesome. The management bought us a new grill because the old one was disgusting, so that was nice.

The house was great in size, location. And suitable for 7 friends. However, all of the patio chairs and table were unusable due to disrepair and the lawn was so overgrown it wasn’t comfortable to sit in our yard for our beach view which is why we selected the property. The access path to the beach was very overgrown unlike all the other houses’ access paths. The gas grill was broken and disgusting so we tried to clean it, but still not able to fully clean it. The grill with sufficient gas would not stay lit which ruined our plan for a bbq dinner. The tv on the first floor would not work even with our excellent tech skills. The upstairs living room tv worked but we had a guest with mobility issues so that was problematic. The Wi-Fi password was not available and we had to contact host.

Great Location!

This was a great place to kick off our summer vacation! The location right on the beach was perfect...we had a wonderful time. The only complaint we had is that the beds were a little uncomfortable...worth the price for the location though!

Spring Break

Hazel’s North is a lovely beach house directly on the ocean. Morning walks are a must- sunrises were beautiful, convenient- great grocery just down the street- and close to RT17 for all the restaurants and fun places to go. We found it comfortable, met our needs, and relaxing!

Shabby - not shabby chic.

This house is worn and tired. The paint on the chairs downstairs is all worn off. The kitchen is missing so many basic things. We ended up buying a cookie sheet, measuring cup, pizza cutter and a few other utensils. We bought some cleaning supplies and cleaned the kitchen ourselves. Not what we expected to do on our vacation. The property manager was very responsive but they can only do so much. The owners need to protect their investment in this house and do a renovation - starting with the kitchen. Replace the granite - it’s badly cracked. Fix the silverware drawer that falls out each time you access it. Clean and paint the cabinets - they’re greasy. Clean the vents. Clean the outside of the front door. The location is perfect and the house could be too with a little love. Oh, and add toilet paper holders - there aren’t any.

Wonderful Family Trip

There were seventeen of us so we rented both sides of this property. The properties combined had MORE than sufficient space for us - we bounced back and forth between the two all weekend. There were NO issues with the property that we were not aware of before check-in. The communication with the host was great and they responded very quickly to any questions we had throughout the rental process. The home is exactly as it appears in the photographs, and was exactly what we expected in a beachfront rental property. We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay here again! PLEASE NOTE - when you plug the property address into Waze or GPS, make sure you specify NORTH Myrtle, as we did have a little mishap and landed at the wrong address when trying to find this location - that was OUR user error, and has nothing to do with the host - I just wanted to save the headache for any future renters!

Clean Much!?

Location of house was great! Condition of house, not so much. Wasn't cleaned very well. Vents were very dusty and had what looked like mold on and around them. TV's in two of the bedrooms didn't work properly. Toilet was not secured to the floor but did get fixed next day. This was my first VRBO, maybe this is par for the course or maybe that's why the price was attractive

Not super clean. Needs a remodle

This property is a little old and rickety. Not particularly clean. Zero amenities. Not even a square of toilet paper in the whole house. Be prepared to bring everything. Kitchen was not well stocked with pots and pans etc. beach is perfect.

Communication was poor. Checkin list was cutoff when sent.linens didn’t seem clean. Sheets on twin beds didn’t seem to fit. A typical beach house and great location. I was told a keurig was there but it wasn’t and was was delivered too late.

Fun Place for larger group

I don't think the pictures do the house justice. There are two "grand rooms" (1) on the lower level walking in from the back yard had a large livingroom / Kitchen / Diningroom set up. It provided plenty of space and we were in and out around the firepit and patio table and chairs right outside. then there was a second floor gathering space that was very large with two tables and livingroom seating area and I nice wet bar area with mini fridge. this was upstairs which you can then walk out to the upper deck which has a large out door patio table and chairs as well as a number of lounge chairs on the deck. Fabulous space for large groups to gather. All together, there were 14 adults hanging together / eating together / playing games together and no one felt crowded at all. We had 5 couples stay at the house which provided us all private bedrooms and baths. There was another bedroom with bunkbeds but we did not use that or any of the pull out couches in the living room space, so I cannot speak to that. The view was spectacular from the deck - Sunrise was stunning!!! Location was great, lots of great local bars, shopping, restaurants. We went the first week in Nov. so much quieter than during busy season but the weather was gorgeous. The management company we dealt with was great, answered all my prep questions ahead of arriving giving me the guidance I needed to prepare.

Convenient verses Cleanliness

When I reached out about the home I was told it was an older home but very nice and remodeled. I wish I could post pictures of how dirty the home was. Ceiling fans, air vents, window blinds, floors, corners, behind toilets and sink were so so dirty. Things that should be cleaned after every rental should be addressed by the house keeping. We brought it to their attention and they could only apologize. They did send someone out to clean the grill. The TVs did not work in any room. There needs to be instructions on how to operate the Roku/Spectrum system. Maintenance came out Wednesday afternoon to pull cords, find where cords plug in and pull things from other rooms to be successful at getting three of the TVs working. The home should be thoroughly cleaned after every rental. I was going to bring my Mother-in-law down but she fell ill. I am actually glad she was not able to go because of the cleanliness and condition of the home. I truly hope the owners take this review to heart. It’s sad the rental company had to apologize so much for things the owners could address. The home is convenient to the beach. But the convenience doesn’t make up for the down falls!

Property was well located. The screws are rusted and the deck uneven but such as to be expected beachfront and sun baked. Quite little street good access to the beach plenty of rooms and bathrooms. The upstairs living room is immaculate and the view from the top deck breathtaking. All in all I'd say a good little house just keep an eye out for those rusted metal pieces sticking out coming up the stairs to the porch.

Great place to stay w/ family

Hazels child beach house is the first Beach home I’ve ever booked and it didn’t disappoint! The description is as it said . Home was clean and it accommodated our family perfectly ! Beach access was amazing and not overly crowded . Very convenient location for groceries & restaurants . We loved it so much we already booked this beach house for next year!

Great Stay

We loved our time and Hazel's child north! The weather was beautiful the house was immaculate and we just had a great time. The only thing I would suggest is that there are better instructions for the Roku tvs, which seem to be different in each room.
