Check in was a hassle. Hosts did not respond to messages through VRBO and did not send us their secondary check-in information so we had to call and leave a message at their office.We made the reservation assuming there were 4 parking spots. The listing says 3 spots and 4 spots in different places, but the pictures clearly show 4 labeled parking spots. Check in instructions stated multiple times that there were only 3 spots. Hosts did not respond to messages asking about additional parking nearby.The interior has active mold and holes in the wall. Our group killed 4 cockroaches that were roughly the size of my thumb.Beds release an ungodly screech when you sit on them or move in the night.Location is great, literally the only positive

Would not recommend

This house is in a great location and that is about the only positive thing about it. It is in terrible need of renovation and cleaning. Furniture is horribly used and dirty, beds creak like they are 100 yrs old. One guest found what looked like bedbugs in their bed. Downstairs bathroom has a leak in the ceiling from the bathroom above it. Upstairs deck has rusty popped screws and boards feel soft to walk on. Multiple mold spots on ceilings with terrible patch jobs like painted tape and TISSUES stuck in holes in the ceiling. Over all feels like the absolute cheapest materials available were used and the sloppiest workmanship done in the interior. No furniture in spaces that could be used like the Upstairs kitchen. Only 3 parking spots available when the space is obviously for a group stay. Back yard is full of weeds and sandspurs.Very disappointed for the price.

Great location

We just returned from a 5-day stay straddling Memorial Day weekend. Appreciate that the property is dog-friendly. Overall everything was excellent. The location and configuration of the duplex was perfect for a multi-family stay. Three bedrooms upstairs and three downstairs. Plenty of bathrooms. Small kitchen space upstairs with a small fridge. Full kitchen downstairs. Main pro was the awesome location and being right on the beach; we made use of renting beach chairs and umbrellas daily from the number listed at the house. That was great. Despite check-in saying no supplies were provided, we found the house did supply toilet paper, bath soaps, dish soap, and hand soap. Listing said the house has four parking spaces, but there were only three (fine for us but maybe for others it wouldn’t be enough since the house sleeps so many). Main cons were; all the bedrooms are on the front (street) side of the house, so sleeping on busy nights was very noisy (motorcycles, cars, sirens, etc.). Maybe bring a sound machine. WiFi was sketchy. The primary (queen) bed on the second floor needs a new mattress (very squeaky, hard, and developing a dip in the middle). Would have appreciated a slightly later check out time (ours was 10 am). Very small tweaks would make it perfect. Our extended family had a great stay.

Wonderful vacation home, perfect for our large family

We vacationed with three generations of our family. The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for us! We enjoyed the open floor plan of the downstairs! The house was so close to the beach and so handy for running back and forth with little ones. The house had everything we needed! We will definitely reserve this house again!

60th Birthday Celebration

Great property. Lot of room to spread out. So many bathrooms! Easy walk to the beach and shower to rinse off. Top porch had beautiful sunrise photo views. Lot of extras in the kitchen. No need to bring crockpots or soap. Very easy accommodations. Parking garage a block away for extra cars. Fabulous location.

Wonderful Family Trip

There were seventeen of us so we rented both sides of this property. The properties combined had MORE than sufficient space for us - we bounced back and forth between the two all weekend. There were NO issues with the property that we were not aware of before check-in. The communication with the host was great and they responded very quickly to any questions we had throughout the rental process. The home is exactly as it appears in the photographs, and was exactly what we expected in a beachfront rental property. We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay here again! PLEASE NOTE - when you plug the property address into Waze or GPS, make sure you specify NORTH Myrtle, as we did have a little mishap and landed at the wrong address when trying to find this location - that was OUR user error, and has nothing to do with the host - I just wanted to save the headache for any future renters!

Location was great. Home had some issues, but it was well used. Poor instruction for TV, appliances, and trash removal. Difficult to reach Carolina Palms mgt. company. However, for the most part a good time was had by all.

The location is everything!! And anytime we needed something the property manager responded immediately. We had 5 kids ranging from 1-10 and they had a great time! Recommended!!

Overall a decent place to stay. Most of out immediate neighbors were loud; improved sound insulation between units would be helpful. Cleanliness could be improved upon...shower curtains need replacing, bathrooms could be cleaner.

Family Reunion

When we arrived their were a few issues fridges not working, kitchen sink faucet not installed. These issued were fixed by the second day but were an inconvenience. Location of property was great, amazing views. Upgrades definitely need to happen.

Perfect setting, perfect accommodations!!

How can you not have a good time with the ocean a few feet from your door! Check in was a breeze! Our group came from Ohio, Illinois and Florida to be together. Linens provided which was key. We had plenty of space, plenty of beds, plenty of sun and even shade if needed. We shopped, we relaxed, we didn't need a thing - everything was provided.

Great place to stay

We celebrated my granddaughters 16 th birthday at the Hazel ‘s Child beachfront house. It was a great celebration because we were just steps from the beach and we had enough room for all her family and her dog Bandit too.I would recommend this place for a great getaway.

Cherry Grove

The property was clean, and quiet. Needed a few days to unwind and just relax. The home was pleasant and well maintained. Neighbors in the adjoining section were very nice. 1 small note: walls between the two spaces were very thin. We could hear the other family talking and we could also hear their TV. But all in all it was a very nice stay.

Gorgeous house and location

Our family had a wonderful time in this well appointed, spacious home on the beach front. The town of Cherry Grove was lovely, with great restaurants and stores, mini golf and ice cream stands. We will definitely return!

The perfect place for our needs

Our second visit to this great location on the beach. Check-in couldn't be easier. Furnishings and appliances worked well. Suggestions? Put a microwave or toaster oven in the second floor kitchenette. Update written instructions on how to use TV; we finally emailed for more details. The fact the weather was so cold could not be blamed on anyone but God.

Wonderful!

We spent 6 weeks at this beach house . Check in was super easy . Carolina Palm was awesome to work with . Excellent communication. All of our needs and expectations were met during our stay . Beach getaway

All of us enjoyed this property on the beach. The expanse of the place allowed us to not feel cramped. All we needed for basic cooking was available except for dish cloths and can opener but these were easily corrected. The decks were enjoyed by all. Parking was convenient. Location was close to groceries, souvenirs, shopping. Located at cherry Grove section of North Myrtle Beach

Great Place

We stayed during hurricane Ian and this held together better than all of the surrounding houses. We moved all of the outside furniture and grill to a safe area. It was very intense watching the storm come through. The house was clean when we arrived, nice tvs up stairs and downstairs with plenty to watch. My only complaint was there was no trash can up stairs. I guess someone took it from the previous stay.

Much needed stay by the sea!

Hazel’s Child #2 was a very open well planned out house for lots of family members. Although it was only 4 of us I could see how this house would suit a large family with plenty of room to spread out. Thanks again for a relaxing couple of days that was just steps away from the ocean.

Great location and great views

The property was great for our group of 12 (6 adults, 1 teen, and 5 children). It is spacious with a large area on both the first and second floors as well as a spacious deck and patio. Access to the beach was easy and convenient with a short walk over a dune. The beach in that location wasn't overly crowded. The property is well equipped with everything we needed for preparing meals.
