Great location.

Little house between 2-3 story million dollar beach homes. Just like the little house in "Away" that the old cartoon character refused to sell, so he tied balloons to his house and flew away. Hope they don't let this little house "fly away."

Review

The house was adorable but needs a deep cleaning. The floors looked as if they have not had a deep cleaning in months. The furniture was very dirty. I had to clean the table between the two small sofas because it was black around the edges. Overall this could be an AWESOME place but needs some updates and TLC. I love the history of the house and the wood but, again, it needs a deep cleaning, updated furniture, etc.

Great Location

The house was very clean and provided all the conveniences of home. Bed was very comfortable. Location was very close to the beach. Just a few minor things that need repairs. Overall we had a very pleasant stay.

Cute and terrific cabin

You could not ask for a better location and it was perfect for my family of three . Keep in mind it is very much like a cabin and is rustic relative to furnishings and overall cleanliness but it worked fine for us with no complaints. Most importantly, the central AC rocked and kept us nice and cool.

Underwhelmed

This is advertised as a lovely family cottage, but it hasn’t been used by the family in years. It is really cute and we were thrilled until entering. There was a stench that may have been sweat, lack of cleaning, we weren’t sure what, but after a few days and lots of air freshener we were able to get rid of it. You can’t open any windows to air the cottage out so I’m sure that has to do with it. The garbage hadn’t been emptied in the bathroom and I washed the bedroom coverlet because it smelled. We enjoyed the beach stay, but the condos across the street were rented out to people who started partying at 4 pm and ended around 3 am every day beginning on Monday. We arrived on Friday so had 2 nice days. We tried to reach Vacasa but they didn’t respond. When I finally reached someone to say we were leaving a day early, I was told that they aren’t responsible for street noise. True, but the rules of the city are no noise after 11 and that obviously isn’t taken seriously. We didn’t complain to the city of N. Myrtle Beach, we just hoped that Vacasa would have moved us elsewhere. Don’t expect help at all from Vacasa or VRBO if needed. Overall if Vacasa had responded and taken into consideration that we literally were staying in a cottage where people were partying to all hours in the street and walking on the property, cutting through the backyard etc instead of saying that they aren’t responsible for street noise I would give this a better rating. Unfortunately when you stay here you are on your own. Read other reviews, we should have paid attention.

Pleasantly Surprised

Our visit exceeded our expectations! The house was perfect, was within walking distance of the beach, and included everything my family needed. I was a bit worried about only having one bathroom, but the outdoor shower eliminated that concern. Plus, the amenities! No taking home dirty clothes because there was a washer and dryer right there. There was even a coffee pot with coffee and filters in case we forgot! Everything worked as it should and the little touches throughout made it feel like home. To say we loved our stay would be an understatement.

Beach Getaway

Overall a good experience. Location was great just a short walk to the beach. The house is small, wood paneled getaway place. The kitchen is quaint and serviceable. The beds were a shortcoming (I hate to be Goldilocks, but one was too hard and one was too soft). The bathroom was tiny, but updated and nice. It was a good place to get away and relax.

Just perfect!

I love this little cottage. The front porch and rockers were a plus! The toiletries, nice thick white towels...I felt like I was at the Hilton! We had everything we needed and more. Very clean place and just a few steps to the ocean. This will now be my favorite place to stay at North Myrtle Beach!
