Create perfect summer memories here …. in the 1910 historic, meticulously maintained home, around the large pool with pool house, on the tennis court (with two pickleball courts), in the grand sunken living room with baby grand piano, outdoor firepit, pool table in large game room. Sit in the rocking chairs on the covered porch and watch the deer grace the lawn, listen to the abundant birdsong or watch the pine trees murmur and gently sway in the ocean breeze. Some nights (depends on the wind) you can hear the ocean waves from the beach. Entertaining here is old world elegant, gracious, family centered and magical. Public restrooms and across the street is the Beach Plum ice cream stand/snack bar with a large menu of surprisingly good food, especially the grilled hot dogs and enormous lobster rolls!
A 20 minute drive along the coast brings you to the thriving seaport town of Portsmouth with tons of shops, restaurants, culture. Great road biking territory in three seasons — stunning scenery on flat terrain.
This is a one-of-a-kind much beloved family estate which the family will not be using this summer. The months of July and August (possibly September) are available.
