This property is pristine and has the necessities needed for a weekend getaway! The owner is quick to respond to any questions. The A/C worked great for the muggy summer weather and outdoor patio was perfect for ending the day and relaxing with friends. We would book here again for the cleanliness, comfort, and location to many activities!

Get-a-way

Overall the stay was great. Place was as advertised. We did have a neighbor stop and tell us they could hear us playing pool at 6pm in the evening, the walls must be very thin. No other issues and would stay again.

Convenient and quiet apartment.

Apartment was a short ride to restaurants, grocery stores beaches and downtown Portsmouth. Accommodations were great. Sparkling clean space, white linens, bathrooms and kitchen. Would stay here again!

We were in Rye New Hampshire for a family wedding. Excellent location.

Clean, spacious, great location. My only wish was that they had tv’s in the bedrooms. Did pass this on to the owner. Everyone who stopped by wished that their place was as nice as ours.

Central location for New England

We stayed at this property with another couple for three nights in early June to visit Portland and Gloucester. The location was pretty good for being in between both places and visiting on consecutive days. The property was relatively clean but for a few pet stains in the upstairs bedroom. It was spacious and having access to a shared washer and dryer was nice. The pool table was also a nice touch. There were not enough towels We purchased two from Walmart and left them there. I would recommend the house for visiting various places while visiting New England.

Great place

Clean & convenient location. My only suggestions are to possibly find a way to put a window treatment over upstairs skylight (as it makes sleeping any amount of time past sunrise almost impossible) & an upgraded towel situation would be appreciated. Otherwise, we were very pleased with the property. Thank you.

The potential to be a great stay

We (two couples) spent the weekend of New Year's Eve at John's property and overall were pleased with our stay. The home is quite spacious and had plenty of room for four people. We loved having the pool table and the kitchen was adequately stocked for us to cook dinner one night. While there isn't a ton going on in the immediate neighborhood, it was a quick and easy drive to Portsmouth (about 10 minutes) and there were supermarkets, stores, and restaurants about 5 minutes down the road in North Hampton, making it a very convenient location. There were, however, a few things that could be done to make this an even better stay, including more bathroom towels and hand soap and more comfortable living room furniture. Our stay was in the winter and it was very rainy, so we wanted to spend a lot of time at the property but it was incredibly cold when we arrived and took until the next day to properly warm up, making it a bit uncomfortable to hang out. The shower in the bathroom upstairs was also a bit awkward to use and we ultimately ended up all using the downstairs bathroom to shower. That aside, it was a great value and we would stay again when visiting the Portsmouth/Kittery area!

Christmas vacation

The rental was nice and clean. It was nice to have snacks and coffee available. It was a very quiet unit. It was a little hard to find at night the entrance was a little dark at the road.

Great place, convenient location.

The apartment is very spacious and clean. The kitchen has everything you would need for short stay. There's a cute patio area in the back that we were able to use a couple of sunny days, and ample parking. John was very responsive when we needed to contact him. The door lock stopped functioning suddenly, and he had someone fix it within an hour. I had some difficulties with the heat and he responded with directions within a fee minutes. If you aren't looking for beachfront this is a great option and I would recommend it, especially for overflow if you have out-of-town guests.

Good spot, no complaints, listing is accurate

Generally this is a good find! It's a little hard to physically find but nothing too bad. Rooms were clean, house was spacious, and parking was copious.

Perfect Place

Very happy with this. Large, open apartment. Kitchen was nice-sized and well equipped, washer and dryer were handy, bedrooms and bathrooms were generously sized and there was plenty of storage. We enjoyed the pool table and were all able to sit in living room comfortably. There was enough space outside for our guests to be able to walk their dogs. Lots of places to go within a very short driving distance. Owner responded to my questions very quickly.
