It was our first Christmas without my husband, and I wanted to do something special for my family. The house was perfect for us to spend time together. We enjoyed walking downtown and attending Mass on Christmas Eve. We had plenty of space to play games and watch Christmas movies on a large screen. A Christmas tree was set up, and the kids were able to "trim" it. Every kitchen tool was available to make our meals, and the large table fit us all! We enjoyed the lights at Miracle at Big Rock one night. It is a great location with many things to see and do nearby! What a view! It will be a Christmas to remember! Thank you so much!

Fantastic house! Plenty of kitchen supplies and the maple syrup was delicious! Clean and tidy! Fun outdoor games, fire pit and accommodations for all! Owners were very responsive to our communication and questions! Would definitely stay here again!!

Property was as pictured, clean and cupboards well labeled. The living room is huge and yet still cozy. It’s very close to fun shops and bars. We really enjoyed the porch and fire pit (huge bonus that firewood was provided). 4 out of 7 found their beds to be comfortable. 3 of the 7 the beds were way too hard and would benefit greatly from some memory foam. It has a rating of three stars because as soon as you enter the house, it smells musty like it’s been closed up for years. We had to open all of the windows all day long to make it better and it was a little chilly for that. Then every time we would close up the house and leave, we would come back to the same musty smell.

I have never had a better VRBO experience than our stay at Maple House. Nine of us, all in our late 70s, friends for 55 years. This was our second stay, and we’ve already booked our next reunion a year from now.Everything was absolutely perfect. Beautiful home. Spotlessly clean. Fully equipped kitchen (including every drawer’s contents clearly labeled. The most complete, most detailed welcome book I’ve ever seen. Spectacular great room for gathering to spend hours together. Spacious dining room. Well-stocked bedrooms and bathrooms, with plenty of extra sheets, pillows, and towels. Beautiful grounds, adequate parking, lovely outdoor patio with seating for everyone. Working with Sydney has been a dream; speedy responses to any questions. My only hesitation in publishing this stellar review is that it might limit our ability to book the Maple House in the future if too many groups discover this gem. But I’ll take my chances: best VRBO experience ever!

The directions were easy to follow, including gaining access to the house and the wifi access. Both of the owners were responsive when I had questions. Definitely a great house to use for a family reunion.

Girls Trip

Girls Trip for 6. Wonderful accommodations and wonderful hosts. Lots of room for 6 of us to spread out. The house was very well furnished. We weren't lacking for anything. It was very clean and was very much as described. We hope to return for another trip in the future. I would highly recommend it a group.

Maple House Vacation

Beautifully located among maple trees, a large lawn for outdoor games, and plenty of interior room to spread out, this was an ideal location for our family group! Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms!

50+ year college reunion

The Maple House was absolutely perfect for our group of nine women who have been gathering regularly for decades. Just perfect! Gorgeous great room for gathering; six beautiful bedrooms; three sparkling bathrooms; a refreshing screened porch; a lovely outdoor seating area; a beautiful private and wooded setting; amazingly equipped kitchen; spacious dining room; incredibly clean. Sydney and Don have thought of everything and were so accommodating. The Welcome Book was more thorough and detailed than any I’ve ever encountered. We were all beyond impressed with our hosts’ attention to detail in providing a spacious yet cozy environment for us. I’ve never stayed at a more impressive VRBO, nor have I worked with such helpful and communicative hosts (who also live next door). Our group will definitely be returning in the future.

Great Place for Friends or Family

All of us siblings and spouses spent a long weekend together enjoying the location where our aunt and uncle lived while we were growing up. Of course we invited our cousins for an outdoor barbecue and the 10 of us grew to 25. What a beautiful home, with plenty of space and a great kitchen. The fire pit is even stocked with wood!

Great Family Reunion Spot

This was perfect for our large group. Quiet. Clean. We cooked most meals there. Multiple areas to to things together either inside or out so that everyone isn't on top of one another. Hosts are available and friendly. My father and I each had nice conversations with Don. The home facilited a wonderful reunion.

Great place for our family gathering!

The reason for staying that this property was so that all our children & grandchildren could be with us to help us celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It had sufficient room for the 15 of us, two of which were under five years of age. There was an ideal room for that family to be together apart from the rest. The master bedroom & master bath were also apart from the others & located on the main floor. In addition to the sleeping quarters there was a large dining area where we enjoyed a couple of meals together as a family & also used it for a game night. There was also a large living room where we could all gather. A three-season porch was also an area we made use of. The kitchen appliances were ample for our needs, the large refrigerator was especially appreciated. The grill provided on the patio had room for all twelve steaks we needed for one of our meals. One night we enjoyed gathering around a fire on the patio, the host having provide the fire pit & the firewood. The yard had ample room for games of spikeball & cornhole to be played at the same time, as well as two people playing catch. We had a wonderful time together as a family.

Property was easy to find, close to grocery store. Quiet neighborhood. Owners were very gracious upon our arrival. Went for a family reunion in Turtle Lake, WI so we did not get to take advantage of all this house has to offer due to traveling to Turtle Lake each day. We did utilize the kitchen and dinning room table almost every day for breakfast and evening snacks. Kitchen had all the necessities needed for preparing meals. Beds were comfortable. Great enclosed porch and the patio under the shade trees.

Room for everyone! We spent most of our time in the screened porch which has a large table for family games. Large pans in kitchen good for feeding a crowd. Tons of dishes and drink ware made mealtime easy. Hosts provided great basics, dish and dishwasher soap, shampoos, conditioners, body washes, etc. in each bathroom, ample towels. Everything marked clearly in kitchen. Highly recommend!
