My husband, three children (7,5,3), and I stayed here while visiting my family in Bergen County. It was very spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. If you need something, Target and Walmart are close by. The neighborhood is more city-like than a quiet suburbs. It was on a major street so we could hear all the sirens, trucks, and cars going by. Thankfully, it never woke up our sleeping kids. We were given parking passes to use during our stay. Make sure to read the back of the permit. We didn’t and got a $50 ticket. Totally our fault. Parking itself wasn’t a big problem. We were able to find street parking quickly. I was also worried about parking our van with Florida plates and visible luggage in the trunk, but we were okay. The tv was big and great. Occupied the kids with Netflix and PBSkids. (FYI the volume control is on the side of the remote.) There’s also a big park/playground a ten min walk from the place. The heat also came out well. We didn’t need a space heater at all. The place is on the second floor of an older two story home so the floors creak when walking. We had to constantly remind the kids to not jump, run, and to walk quietly. Be mindful that there are no curtains in the main area, but it turned out not to be a problem for us. The dining table only has 4 chairs, but there are some ottomans we used so we could all sit around the table. The shower head we used near the bedrooms has a wide range flow of water so the water goes far and wide. And the shower curtains aren’t long/wide enough that water kept seeping out. We laid extra towels on the floor to keep the floor from getting wet. The owner is pretty quick with responding to whatever we needed. He made sure our stay was great, which it was. It’s also so close to the city as well as other parts of NJ. Took us 20-25 min (locally) to drive to Liberty State Park. (Recommend-the views are amazing) This was our first time renting a place and we’re glad our family had plenty of space to move around and not be cramped.
