Thank you for your review. We are glad that you found the Inn to be beautiful and friendly and that you liked our breakfast. All of our rooms have showers and one also has a clawfoot bathtub. We are sorry that we were not aware that you would have preferred the room with the tub. We apologize that neither of us speak Spanish as we might have been better able to accommodate your preferences. If you come back to southern Vermont, we hope you might visit us again and try the room with the tub!

I’m so sorry you were unhappy with you stay here at our little Bed and Breakfast. 250 year old historic homes in Vermont always need upkeep. I’m sorry I hadn’t attended the that corner of our entrance area, but have moved it up to the top of my list.

We are pleased that you appreciated the Inn's old age. We believe that it was built no later than 1690-1710 for the Village's first blacksmith's shop. The working forges were on the 1st level (now the basement) with living quarters on two floors above. In @1812, the steep roof was changed to the broader existing roof, providing for more space on 2nd floor. During its long life it served a variety of uses, including as NB's first Post Office and later the home of Hiland Hall, a governor of VT and a member of the U.S. House of Representives. We enjoyed your company and, if you like, we'll show you the basement. ;)
