"OK for an overnight stay. Our room had a view of a shipping container in the yard - not the hanging gardens of Babylon or a herd of wildebeast that we'd hoped for! (The reception staff member was too young to remember Fawlty Towers, so the comment went over his head....). Had to ask at the bar for glass tumblers for water needs in the night and to hold toothbrushes. Some noise from Friday night entertainment but stopped at 11pm so not an issue. "

"The staff here are incredible, so friendly and helpful. We stayed for a nearby wedding and they gave us an iron and iron board and taxi recommendations. The food also tasted amazing and was great quality, the menu isn't large but they do regularly change their specials. The room itself was nice, it was quite small but to be expected for such an old property, the bed was very comfy and the bathroom modern. Our only issue was the cleanliness. "We had a delightful time at the Troutbrook Inn. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, plus they were certainly dog friendly. As this was my first time travelling with my dogs this was so reassuring. Would certainly book again if making a return visit to the area. "

"Parking spaces very tight. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Food superb and plenty of it (although a bit pricey). Room lacking fridge and windows painted shut except one the kept closing when opened. Bed comfy. Bathroom well apppointed although basin was very low. Had to stoop to use it. Hotel well maintained and was very good."
