Thank you Geraldine for a fantastic stay at your apartment in Port en Bessin. The apartment is clean, welcoming and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Geraldine is super helpful and easy to contact, it’s very clear that she wants you to enjoy your stay and has thought of everything you need. The location is superb for exploring the Normandy coast and Bayeux etc, Honfleur is about an hour away and definitely worth a visit. Arronmanche is about 15 minutes drive away and is such a pretty seaside town with an interesting history. Port en Bessin itself is a lively little harbour town with plenty of restaurants, cafes, boutiques and a supermarket. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you Geraldine, it was so lovely to meet you.

The Best Place

We absolutely loved every single aspect of this VRBO. The location was right on the water, walkable to many local restaurants and shops, easy parking, short trip to Bayeux for the start of D-Day tours. Plus the apartment was immaculately clean, stocked with everything (shampoo, body wash, washer/dryer, laundry detergent, dishwasher, etc.) imaginable. The beds were very comfortable! The view was amazing! The owner was quick to respond and we enjoyed meeting her on her arrival. Truly the best place!! Very highly recommended!!

Just as described and better!

Fabulous apartment with everything you need including an amazing view of the harbour. So easy to park outside and Port-en-Bessin is delightful. Geraldine was extremely helpful and had thought of everything to ensure that we enjoyed our stay.

Normandy trip

My parents and I loved the apartment! It was immaculately clean. With the windows open, we could hear the waves of the English Channel. Many excellent restaurants are within a few blocks’ walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Normandy!

Perfect location in quiet village

We very much enjoyed our stay! Geraldine greeted us upon check in, showed us the house and places to see. She even booked us a dinner at a local restaurant our first evening, which was amazing given our long day of travel. The village is walkable…with markets, shops, restaurants and sea front only a few minutes walk away. The location is great for all the Normandy sites. We look forward to returning soon.

Lovely location by the sea

An enviable location on the Harbour front. A fish market, coffee shops, patisseries and restaurants all within walking distance.Quiet (though no others staying at the time) with easy parking. Super jumping off point for the D Day beaches, Bayeaux and inland Normandy. Very reluctant to leave.

PERFECTION IN NORMANDY!!!!

Look no further, this is the perfect accommodation and Geraldine is a great host. We stayed in the second floor unit and we loved our time there. She has thought of absolutely everything and the apartment is amazing. Just a few of our observations: Assorted cords for plugging in all devices She left a bottle of wine, sparkling cider and a box of chocolates There were many types of tea, coffee and hot chocolate etc She provided lovely toiletries Very high end appliances Beautiful dishes and glassware Bed was very comfortable Her taste and style are wonderful The unit has a chef’s kitchen All the cookware you would ever want She meet us at our arrival and came to say goodbye at our departure She was incredibly responsive and so helpful with travel advice and restaurant recommendations She is a national treasure Fantastic full water view We are both master athletes and loved the stairs She got us a special map that favored our request for running routes in the area Parking was easy and convenient Book well in advance so you don’t miss out on staying in one of her units We are already looking at our calendar to see when we can return. An amazing experience

Perfect Apartment and Geraldine was lovely

This apartment is very nice and very well located. Geraldine was a lovely host and very helpful with any of our questions. We rent many vacation rentals and Geraldine has above and beyond with everything to make your stay comfortable. There are so many little extras that are not listed that make your stay so much better (Large mirrors, good hairdryers, a bag to take to the supermarket, coffee and tea, almost every kitchen utensil, etc etc). One of the most thoughtful places we have stayed, we will recommend to anybody and we will be staying again ourselves. Thank you :)

Wonderful two week stay

We had a wonderful stay, this is the place to stay in Port en Bessin. The view from the apartment, sunrise and sunset on the harbor is one we’ll always remember. Geraldine is an excellent host, suggested many sites and things to do while there. Next time in Normandy we plan on staying here again.

Beautiful apartment and location

My family and I had a great time in Normandy for D-Day and this apartment was perfect! Plenty of space, view of the sea, and well appointed. Geraldine was so sweet- she welcomed us with D Day gifts when we arrived and also came by to explain the events and apartment details. It is located just steps from restaurants and shops too. Would love to stay here again!

Incroyable !

La situation géographique de l’appartement est incroyable, face à la mer, tout se fait à pied, à quelques pas. Nous ne connaissions pas trop la région et l’hôte nous a énormément guidés pour parfaire notre week-end, cela a été d’une grande aide. L'appartement est plein de charme, très bien décoré et soigné, toutes les commodités dont on pourrait avoir besoin y sont. Très propre. Je recommande à 100% cet appartement, impossible d’être déçu. Nous reviendrons, c’est certain !

4 Sisters

The home was exactly what 4 sisters from the United States needed to visit the Normandy Beaches region! The French fishing village was perfect to feel a part of the region and French people were so kind and helpful. Can’t wait to return some day!

Wunderbar

Der Ort, die Wohnung und die charismatische Vermieterin Geraldine sind ganz wunderbar. Die Wohnung ist schöner und großzügiger als die Fotos vermuten lassen. Wir mochten es, unmittelbar am Kai zu wohnen und auf den hauseigenen Möbeln direkt auf dem Bürgersteig zu sitzen und zu essen. Um selbst zu kochen ist wirklich alles da und die Lage des Orts ist für Ausflüge perfekt. Danke Geraldine!

Fabulous apartment but not for anyone with mobility issues

Apartment was fabulous, beautifully clean and amazingly equipped, there was nothing that hadn’t been thought of, I would highly recommend a stay here if you are fit and healthy, however the staircase leading to the apartment was a massive issue for us, we had my parents with us, my mum is 82 and struggled daily with the very narrow tight, steep winding staircase which has no handrails and 32 steps , the apartment is in a beautiful old building so we appreciate there is nothing that can be done to improve the access but it would put us off staying again, the description does say it’s on the second floor but there are no pictures or description of how bad the stairs are!… however this would not put me off recommending it to others that are super fit

A Perfect Place to Stay

We took a chance based on the photos to stay here instead of Bayeux while visiting Normandy. It paid off. Geraldine is wonderful and explained all the nuances of the unit. The unit was very clean and exactly as described. We had a ball and loved the little historic town. I would come back again and again.

UN lieu magique

Un lieu "magique", avec une vue magique, confortable et remarquablement équipé. Une hôte non moins exceptionnelle. Nous avons passé un très beau séjour, agrémenté de poissons, fruits de mer et crustacés tout droit sortis du bateau.
