Thanks Deborah for your review........... yes, as you have discovered, the island is very hilly and there are a lot of narrow driveways! .... properties like ours were not created under planning schemes where easy access was mandated. We are working towards offering some dinner parties when our renovations are completed. Building work on Norfolk Island is a slow process due to the shipping every 3 months. When renovations are completed we will be creating a new website to make better explanations about things like the pool size. We 'inherited' the current website when we purchased Hideaway last year. Shortly we will be installing a sauna near the plunge pool for everyone's enjoyment. Also upright stoves are very common here .... and maybe you could let us know why you considered the microwave 'dated'?Meanwhile we will continue to use low gear to negotiate the driveway ..... and advise our guests to do the same. (smile) Wild chooks abound on island and we cannot stop the roosters from crowing BTW.

Thanks for your review Jenene. Hope you had a good trip home. Shame the weather wasn't the best for you. October/November or March/April are probably slightly better times to travel as the weather is usually a little more settled then, if you were planning to return one day. Take care.

The various websites do mention that some of the units are located upstairs but I will try and see if I can find a way to make this information clearer so that guests booking can request a downstairs unit if needed and dependent on availability.
