A cottage with great sunsets

We had a relaxing time at this lake cottage. As seniors, we appreciated the level grounds to the sandy beach & the firewood for our nightly sunset bonfires. We enjoyed eating and sitting on the front deck with no noticeable mosquitos or horse flies! The living room had a great wall of windows overlooking the lake and sunsets. There were families of geese and ducks living near the shore and a pair of loons on the lake. The cabin is close to Nisswa and shopping. It's a small lake so we rented a pontoon on nearby Gull Lake for a day, which was special. We didn't use the bunk house but it would have been great for kids to have their own space. Our only negatives were that we couldn't get the gas grill started, had to buy matches to for the bonfire, and there were no basic cooking supplies, ie oil, salt, pepper and spices. Overall, nice place to stay in a beautiful part of northern Minnesota!

Lovely Lake Vacation

This property was a dream. Loved the clear lake and sandy beach. Fun times had with swimming and bonfires. The view from the deck and living room was beautiful. Great place to catch sunsets as we heard the loons. The cabin was very comfortable and clean. Well stocked kitchen. There was AC, though we didn’t need it. Would for sure rent this property again. Thanks for all the great memories!

Family time

Peaceful lake retreat

Great picturesque setting on sand bottom lake. Very well maintained property near Nisswa with thoughtful touches in the cabin. Enjoyed biking to town and relaxing in quiet comfort taking in the lake views.

Beautiful

This is a beautiful setting, what you expect from a northern Minnesota cabin , quaint little place, everything is there for you. Love the view, awesome firepit near the water, great deck . looking forward to booking this again.

Great location on a beautiful lake.

Nicely equipped cottage, comfortable furniture, enjoyed the fireplace. Kids loved the beach and we all enjoyed having a loon so close to the dock. Fishing for pan fish from the boat was fun for everyone, catching one after another. Very nice lot and trees and the bunkhouse was a nice bonus.

Great place in perfect location!

Working with Mary was an easy process. The cottage was the right size for 8 of us. We spent most of our time in the back patio/deck and beach/dock area on the lake. Lower Cullen Lake was clear and actually warm! The back yard was flat, nice and area was quiet. We enjoyed the sunsets each night and bonfires near the lake. The beds were amazingly comfortable! The fridge and stove were huge but we used the outside grill for most of our cooking. We enjoyed daily walks along the road and shopping in Nisswa which is very close! Big Axe brewing company was fun as well. Easily recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a clean, quiet getaway with easy access to town amenities and water recreation! Thanks Mary for a great time!

Adorable lake cottage in town

We bounced over after staying at Grandview for a few days. Love the location of this home on the lake near the enchanted channel. The hospitality touches in the home were very special and unlike any other place I’ve stayed!

Beautiful cabin on peaceful lake

This cabin is absolutely perfect!! The yard is great for playing games and running into the water. The lake is very shallow with a soft bottom so it’s wonderful for wading in. The cabin itself is so cute and a perfect home base after a day on the lake or in Nisswa. Would definitely come again!!

Sisters weekend getaway

Really cute cabin perfect for our sisters weekend getaway. Right on the lake front with Fall colors starting to change. So pretty! The fireplace lakeside living room was our favorite hangout. Had a glitch with TV but we just rented movies instead which was perfect. Mary was easy to work with and attentive to any questions. Great place!

Cottage Fun

This was our first time here and we were not disappointed. If our kids weren't fishing or swimming they were in the back putting on the green or shooting hoops. The property is nicely maintained with plenty of shade for the hot days. The beach and swimming area had nice sand and was very kid friendly. The cottage location on the lake was great because you are very close to the channel connecting Lower Cullen Lake to Middle Cullen Lake which was great for more kayaking opportunities. Middle Cullen Lake was great for sunrise paddles! This cottage is only 2.5 miles away from Nisswa and 10 minutes away from Gull Lake. Overall this cottage really is charming and it was a fun place to stay and play.

Perfect little cottage for a weekend away!

We had a great time at the cottage. Lovely lakefront with amazing sunset views. Only issue we had were the doors, most of them did not close including the bathrooms. Other than that small detail I’d definitely return for another weekend away!
