The property location is ideal for a restful getaway. Interior surfaces were clean and neat. However, there are many items that need attention. Access to the main stairs into the cabin is treacherous due to uneven, drooping brickwork, making it dangerous for elderly persons. The umbrella shade on the rear deck is broken and, when opened, a bird's nest fell out. The s'mores items in the welcome basket were quite old and when opened were oxidized. Batteries in the Operation game were rotten and leaking acid. The pet exercise area was overgrown with tall weeds, and the gates were off their hinges. A great deal of moss was located on the north side of the main upper deck along the sunroom exterior. The master bath shower has a caddy that causes the spray to go horizontally, necessitating that the shower be handheld. This is a burden on people in their 80s and would be a frustration for anyone else. Finally, the cooking equipment has been abused and is no longer serviceable. Even on low heat, everything stuck to the pans.This could truly be a superior property with only a bit of effort.

This is a wonderful place to relax. Hostess was very prompt in replying to any correspondence.The location was perfect, would be nice to have a sign with house number at top of the driveway entrance so you know you are at the right place. Ty for sharing this beautiful house with us. We are already planning our next visit.

Cabin in the Woods

Cozy getaway!

Our family absolutely loved our stay! This was our first time staying in Brown County, and it did not disappoint. The Cabin was tucked away and cozy, yet not too far from anything we wanted to do. Our favorite thing was spending time in the beautiful sun room!

Girls Trip

Over all the stay was good. The house was cute. Our group loved the atrium and the common spaces. However the cleanliness was lacking. The floors had food on them and needed attention. Lack of towels for the number of people in our party for a week.

Beautiful, spacious cabin!

Oh my! This cabin was everything advertised and more. Beautiful setting, spacious, and extremely clean. So many amenities. The beds were comfy, cozy. All the furniture in excellent condition. We wished we could have stayed longer. We all agreed we would like to return. Highly recommend.

Great place to unwind & enjoy nature. We planned our stay so we didn’t need to leave cabin. Enjoyed Hot tub, atrium, & deck with multiple seating options. Accommodations accurate. Nice “welcome” treats. Visitors should Consider distance and travel from St Rd 46 if planning other activities in Brown County. Cabin is secluded & off the “beaten path”.

Such a great cabin!

5 friends stayed at this cabin for a girls retreat. This place was amazing! Situated in gorgeous woods with outstanding views. We loved the enclosed, heated sunroom and ended up spending most of our days in there. It was cold and rainy during our trip, so being warm and cozy in this bright space, while hearing the rain on the roof was pretty cool. The cabin has everything you need for cooking and preparing meals. The beds are comfy. Couldn't have asked for a better place to get away from it all.

Magical Weekend with Family

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Our family included 3 adult children. Snow on the ground, record cold temperatures - but the cabin was cozy, so much to do (hot tub, games, bird watching, movies, ping pong and pool). The kitchen is wonderfully equipped and we enjoyed cooking together and eating around the lovely dining room table. The cabin is exactly as shown in the pictures - a gem!

Family Christmas

I am a busy caterer in northern Indiana, so the holidays are always a challenge when trying to get together with my southern Indiana family. Consequently, we usually have our family Christmas in January! I rented the cabin for a few days, and my adult children arrived at different times. My mother and brother live in southern Indiana...mom came and stayed the duration. My brother and his adult kids all arrived on Saturday for Christmas dinner. The cabin has enough living areas that everyone was comfortable... a huge dining table for great meals together... and the owners left the Christmas decor out for us! It was a wonderful time...except for having to leave a day early due to a snow storm that would have snowed us in. Would love to come back in the summertime! The entire family agreed that it was the best cabin we've rented so far with room for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves.

Wonderful weekend

Were greeted by a kind welcome gift of pastries and cider from a local cafe. House is exactly as pictured. Plenty of space for 7 adults and 2 small kids. We have local family in the area and we were all able to have supper together, converse and play games in the main room. The younger crew enjoyed games in the lower level lqter in the evening. Wonderful time spent in a peaceful retreat.
