Accent on on-site activities is justifiable; surrounding attractions outside the property, while famous, are incredibly crowded and congested and better to enjoy the excellent ambiance, service and cuisine and superb cabin rooms drenched with birdsongs!"

"Gateway is an older Taj property that reeks of old world charm. The cottages and gardens are expertly laid out and the service is attentive. My room was well appointed but old. Overall an excellent option in the Coonoor area."

"Das Resort ist wundervoll! Die Aussicht auf den Chembra Peak, der Garten bzw das Resort-Gelände, das Essen und vor allem das unglaublich tolle Personal machten meinen Aufenthalt besonders! Thomas, der Manager, liest den Gästen jeden Wunsch von den Augen ab und ist so nett. Die weitere Damen und Herren sind aufmerksam und nett! Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnte ein bisschen Schliff gebrauchen. Das hat meinen Aufenthalt aber in kleinster Weise negativ beeinflusst."

Tiene un estilo colonial y los cuartos lo mantienen bastante bien, todo el entorno aún te proyecta a aquellos tiempos de la colonia y la explotación del té; pero las habitaciones están acondicionadas a los usos de hoy en día; en todos los cuartos que se nos asignaron hay hogar a leña, y de todos los mejores son los del frente (de frente a la recepción hacia la izquierda). "This is a resort so expect lots of children at weekends and holidays. However this charming hotel was perfectly adequate for us. If you are of a sensitive disposition, then the noise from the ventilation might drive you nuts, but any seasoned India traveller should be carrying ear plugs on them as standard which ameliorates the situation!"

"Amazing property facing coffee garden and trail to mountain top. Only downside is access road to resort is in dilapidated state, not safe after sunset"
