Too old and not maintained

The hotel was a big disappointment. Old and not maintained. The neighbourhood is sketchy, the room was dirty, the air conditioning loud and not effective. I feel that Expedia charged us way to much by adding it automatically to the flight. A mistake we won't make again.

Very Disappointed

Highly disappointed in this hotel. Aircon didn't work well, decor and furniture is about 40 years outdated, rooms very small, no alarm clocks, no irons in room to press clothes, internet very slow. Just very substandard in every way. I recommend looking for another hotel.

バスターミナル・観光スポット至近の便利なホテル

ゴールデンウィークのキプロス旅行の１・２泊目の宿泊先として利用したが、事前の調べどおりニコシアのメインストリートや、旧市街内の各観光スポットが徒歩圏内にあり、観光の拠点として最適だった。また、チェックアウト後に次の宿泊先のリマソルに向かう折も、インターシティのバスターミナルに近くスムーズに移動できた。 ホテル内の設備は、東ヨーロッパの４つ星ホテルとしては標準的で、特に可もなく不可もなく快適に過ごせた。日本人ツアー客がよく利用するホテルということもあり、最初に予約している部屋のクラスに間違いがあったことを除いて、全体に安心できる対応だったように思う。

Nice Hotel at the citycenter, (borders of old toun

Just oposite the bus and the taxi station, short from the old citycenter. Positive: Bar with exelent vue at the 7th flore. There are smoking rumes ! Frently personel. Negative No free WiFi in the rume (10 euro p.d.)

Good downtown hotel

Well placed. Nice lobby. Good indoor pool (could be warmer). Very good restaurant on top floor. Hotel needs some renovation.

Convenient Location

For business travellers wanting to stay in Nicosia, this is still the best and most convenient option. It is in the city centre on the edge of the old town with lots of restaurants, cafes and other facilities in the area. The bus station is directly opposite as is one of the town's municipal car parks. I would agree that some of the rooms and public spaces would benefit from some maintenance and renovation. However, Cyprus has been going through an economic crisis for the last few years which has affected all business sectors. The rooms are much larger than any of other hotels in the area and equally well appointed. I have tried some of the other hotels and always return to the Nicosia City Center. As a known and repeat guest, I always get extremely good service and many of the original staff who were there the first time I stayed there in 1996 are still there.

lack of Technical Service

The swimmingpool had no Technical service. Rust, defective ladders and underwater light was not in full operation. The escalators in the lobby Were out of service.

Бассейн в выходные работает до 16.00, полотенца после сауны и бассейна,поменять нет возможности, т.к.просто нет сотрудника. За 8 дней один раз видели там девушку. Брали полотенца из номера и пока находились в бассейне, производилась уборка номера(в 10 утра), уборщица оставляла нам чистые полотенца( за,что ей отдельное спасибо). На TV есть 2 русских канала- 1-ый и Россия. Номер с балконом. Центр города. Есть русскоговорящий персонал. В целом все неплохо.

Bedroom very comfortable, but bathroom in very poor state and in need of refurbishment. Access to restaurant via a small lift with no stairs. Not good for someone who doesn't like lifts. Biggest positive was the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff.

Close to action

Location is one of the best in Nicosia. One can walk down to Ledra Street. Other services used to be better earlier when it was managed by holiday inn.

Quartos estão em mau estado, tudo muito velho! Casa de banho péssima! A precisar de reformas com urgência. Apenas as áreas comuns é que estão em boas condições. Má política de utilização da internet nos quartos.

World's Worst Holiday Inn?

From one of the 2 lifts being permanently switched off and the other out-of-order for at least 24 hours, to the 2-floor hike to the ironing room (irons not allowed in-room!) and most of the restaurants being permanently closed, the hotel has few (if any) redeeming features. Warning!… this is NOT anything you'd expect from Holiday Inn - why it's still on their roster, I have no idea - it must break every rule in the franchise book.

Location

Very near Ledra Street and a 5 min walk to Macareo. In front of public transportation access. 10 min by taxi to Kapnos airport shuttle (give about an hour to go to airport from the shuttle station). Could get dark in the area in the evening so don't walk alone very late at night.

悪くはないですが今ひとつです。何かが残念。

表現が難しいですが、Holiday Innのなので、もう少し期待したのがよくなかったです。普通のビジネスホテルなら問題無いですが、Holiday Innの看板をあげているのなら、その規格に合っていないホテルです。Taxiの運転手さんが言ってましたがNicosiaに泊まるなら値段があまり変わらないヒルトンが良いとのことでした。納得しました。でも、ホテルとして悪いわけではありませんよ。

What a pity

I prepai this hotel but on check out they had no record of the payment and demanded a further payment which of course I refused showing them my confirmation receipt which they still did not want to accept as proof of payment it was highly embarrassing. We stayed in a standard double room number 519. The room was a good size but the decoration very tired. My wife was fortunate to have a bed side cabinet with a drawer. Alas I was not so lucky where the drawer had once been a botched repair with a piece of wood nailed to the unit had to suffice. The room contained no hotel directory apparently they only put those in the executive rooms??? and the two chairs in the room were covered in rather alarming stains! the satelight TV had no real selection of channels and even if it had the quality of the picture was so bad it was like looking through a snowstorm. Could I go on? I cannot be bothered but let me end by saying the free car parking included in their rate didn't seem to extend to this guest reception had no idea about it! When will hotels realise no one these days wants to pay 10 Euros to have 24hrs internet. Very dissapointing

Reception staff rude. When booked it included free parking or we paid for parking in price. The hotel doesn't have any parking so had to pay again. Pool and gym only opening for few hours a day, steam room and Turkish baths closed for refurb, but we were not informed before our stay. Rooms very noisy, breakfast very poor. The only positive about this hotel was the location. Would not stay again and not sure if would book with Hotels.com again, as we should have been informed about parking and maintainance work resulting in closing of facilities.

Good with reservations

Few reservations about this hotel: It is located next to main bus station, which is convienient, but at the same time noisy if room is on that side of the building. Hotel is next to "old town" which also creates extra noise and traffic in the area, which is either a blessing or a curse, depending what your are looking for, party or quietness? Hotel also is starting to show it's age. Some parts are remodeled, some are not. Some rooms have only one electrical plug-in, so if you our family has multiple devices to charge, this is a problem. Hotel also gives a code for online access, but this can not be shared between multiple devices. Air conditioning works only during the summer months, although +20'c (70'F) may feel warm for some, but can not be turned on. Staff is good and helpfull.
