Michael is excellent at getting in touch quickly if I had questions. Everything was explained well and the VRBO was just as listed. Neighborhood is great. Close to all kinds of restaurants, wineries and shopping. And only 1/2 hour to Niagara Falls. Pleasant stay.

Great Family Vacation House

The house was just as advertised and we loved it. The hosts were very thoughtful, not only was there soap/shampoo/conditioner supplied, they also provided laundry detergent and directions for using appliances and WiFi and the tv. Checking in was very simple, and communication was timely and helpful. We would gladly stay again!

Perfect Niagara/on-the-Lake cottage

From booking to arrival, Michael & Gail were prompt in their communication and providing easy instructions. The cottage is perfection, well appointed, beautifully decorated and in a quiet neighborhood just blocks from the lake. Very close to Queen Street and its many offerings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Niagara on the Lake

House was clean. Had everything we needed. Lots of good information from the host. Nice quiet neighborhood close to everything. The only real negative was that two of the three bedrooms were upstairs and the bathrooms were on the lower level. We are all 75+ and we usually have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. It was difficult and dangerous.

Stay At Shakespeare Cottage

This is a beautiful place to stay. It’s outside the hustle and bustle of downtown NOTL and still close enough to walk into the downtown core. It’s near the lake with beautiful walking opportunities. Inside, it’s renovated with thought and is beautifully decorated. Michael was very respectful and responsive, and there was little I needed to ask him about. All was clear in both his access welcome email and posted around the house. We were very happy to stay there and would return in a flash.

Wonderful stay at Shakespeare Cottage

Shakespeare Cottage is a very well kept, tastefully decorated property in a beautiful neighborhood. The home comes with all the things one needs. Host Gail and Michael are very easy and efficient to deal with. The location of the cottage is excellent. We would go back.

Well equipped kitchen, great location

We did a lot of cooking, and found the kitchen and the barbecue well equipped. A short walk to the lake and nice parkland. Lots of great walks. The unit was clean and perfect for two couples. Note that the second and third bedrooms are upstairs, while their bathroom is downstairs. The main floor bedroom has a nice ensuite bathroom. Would stay here again.

Peaceful stay in NoTL

Proximity to Lake Ontario within a lush green neighborhood allowed us to see lovely sunrises and sunsets. Everything we needed for our two week stay was available including a washer and dryer. Walking distance to golf, restaurants and shops was also appreciated. Budapest’s chimney cakes did not disappoint! Close to wineries, we visited many and were pleasantly surprised by some of their kitchens: Two Sisters and Trius stood out to us. Thank you Michael for your hospitality and friendly approach. The TV remote control instructions and other documentation were very useful and the peach festival was nice.

Had a fabulous time. Only downside is there is no bathroom upstairs for the 2 bedrooms as you have to come downstairs. Place is beautiful and had everything you need and was in pristine condition. Beds and pillows fabulous.
