"We didnt arrive until 10pm but found the key and room as per instructions easily. The room did have a weird smell but about from that was fine and beds comfy. Only downside was lack of hot water. In the morning only 3 out of 5 had hot showers"

"Great place to have a night before Hobbiton. Everything perfect.The owner was very nice and she explained how to get there. She put the heater on before arrival to be warm at our arrival. Matamata is a quiet town, but surorisinglu, there are many places to have dinner."

"A wonderful place to be in. Very well maintained. All one needs is there, all one wants to escape from isn't. Perfect place for two but be prepared for long chats in the spa pool while the evening sets in. Don't forget the red wine, the next supermarket is a wee bit away."
