"Unfortunately our booked apartment accommodation was unavailable due to a gas leak. However, we were moved to a nice double room and given free breakfast to make up for this. We were also offered 50 % of dinner but the available dining slots were extremely limited so couldn't use that. It was a very comfy hotel, with a great shower, a pleasant mile walk to Keswick. I'd definitely stay again"

"We hired the bunkhouse for two nights of birthday celebrations and walking. Great location with stunning walks right outside the door. Wainwright’s Inn is a few steps away, as is the co-op with its little cafe upstairs. I hope to make our stay an annual event. Highly recommended!"

We were pleasantly surprised by the outdoor space/garden next to and behind the house.Highly recommended for a wonderful stay in Lake District.The partly unpaved road to the house is fabulous but bumpy. Despite doable, even with a lower car, so don't let that put you off!We loved our stay and are inspired by the nature in this beautiful area.
