Lessons in surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and kite surfing are available on the beach through local watersports providers. The South West Coast Path runs along the shoreline, connecting Mawgan Porth to the south and Porth Beach to the north, while Bedruthan Steps – a dramatic run of cliff-backed coastline – lies further along the trail. Newquay and its seven bays sit to the south, offering further variety for coastal exploring. Back at Watergate Bay, beachfront restaurants and cafes line the sand, with surf competitions and music festivals drawing crowds throughout the year.


The first-floor open-plan living space is crowned by a barrel-rolled ceiling, with two sofas, two armchairs, and a flame-effect electric fire grouped around a central seating area. Full-width glass doors open onto the veranda, drawing views of the Atlantic into the room. A dining area seats up to ten around a large table, and the kitchen beyond is fitted with an island unit. A separate laundry room and cloakroom with WC complete this level. An internal staircase leads down to the four ground-floor bedrooms. The first double bedroom has a super-king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with double shower enclosure, freestanding bath, and WC. The second double bedroom is identically equipped with a super-king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with double shower enclosure, freestanding bath, and WC. Two further double bedrooms each have a zip-and-link bed – configurable as a super-king-size double or twin – plus a pull-out truckle bed (70cm x 180cm). A full-width first-floor veranda wraps around the living space, furnished with a table, chairs, and sun loungers overlooking the bay. On the ground floor, a patio area extends from the bedrooms, with doors leading out from each of the four rooms. A store room houses a wetsuit rack, and an outside surf shower is on hand for rinsing off after the beach. The building incorporates sedum roofs and brise soleil for natural temperature control. Two EV charge points are located in the village car park, shared with other properties in the development. Private parking is available for two cars.
