Instead of 4 generations, 15 mostly married adults piling into my grandmother's 4 bed house for a cramped and stress filled holiday, every couple got their own room (shared with their young kids if they had them)! Management provided a fully decorated tree as an excellent surprise Christmas miracle. In the stress of trying to cook for everyone so we could have a cooking free Christmas, we forgot the tree, we did not ask for one but when we opened the door it was there, fully lit. The pictures are on point. Did not feel like we were missing any cookware in the kitchen (cause we still had to cook after all that prep). No one had to fight over a remote because there was a TV in each room except the eating area so we could all pay attention to each other. The table was big enough for almost everyone, the bar rounded out the kids table. Staying over Christmas was nice because we had the whole cove to ourselves but might have introduced the problems listed below. Some missed communication with management where we did not get firewood daily, they said they would pick up and change the water filter on the fridge but never did, and the trash was only picked up at the end of our stay. With 15 people, we filled up all the cans on the premises, we would have moved it if we were told where else to put it. It is a bit far from hiking, Gaitlinburg, and Seivereville but at a price that couldn't be beat for what you get. We'll definitely have to check it out in the summer peak season when the reservoir is filled for kayaking.
