Very nice and spacious.

The house is huge and the view is beautiful!! We had a very nice stay. Bonus is you can walk to the Rogue and the various shops that are close by, even the Aquarium if you wanted.

Happy as a clam

Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of books, games and puzzles. Nice to have a game room in the garage with the pool table, table tennis and foosball.

Huge place for our group of family. Everyone got their own space to stay and great kitchen space. Phenomenal views from bedrooms and living space. Quiet area. Game area in garage with washing machine and dryer.

Beautiful view and great location.

Very warm on third floor, a few other minor glitches but overall a good stay. Detailed info on amenities and area outlined in a couple of binders. Owner and caretaker were readily available and easy to contact. There is a lot of activity choices both in the home and in the community. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic stay!

Great house with a great location. Right on the jetty for fishing and access to south beach. Very close to the boat ramp. Driveway big enough for multiple vehicles and a boat. The house is fantastic for families to gather. We loved being able to watch the seals play in the water from the kitchen table. We would definitely come back!

Great Communication, Cleanliness, and Location

Despite a short and at times stressful stay (our first vacation with our one-year-old!), our overall trip was a success. The only significant issue we encountered was the top floor becoming almost unbearably hot, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. However, everything else was fantastic! Communication with both the owner and cleaning provider was excellent, and check-in and check-out were a breeze. If we return to Newport, this home will definitely be on our list for future stays.

Great House, great location.lots of stairs

This is a lovely house in a wonderful location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay but think it won't be long before all of us are unable to climb the many steps involved. Unfortunately the stool in one of the bathrooms was non-functional but fortunately there was another bathroom just across the hall. Also, the housekeeper failed to put bedding on the bunkbeds so we had to scrounge around and find sheets for one of them. This house would be especially appropriate for either a large family or two families traveling together but worked well for four old ladies, too.

Beautiful views

House was beautiful with great views of the bay. Loved walking to the pier and watching the crabbers. The house had everything we needed to go crabbing and clamming, but we ran out of time. House had everything we needed.

Great Views!

We enjoyed our stay! The weather was beautiful! We all had our own bath rooms, games to play. We didn’t rent the down stairs rental, but definitely would with one more couple. There was 7 adults 2 children.

The happy clam is an awesome home to stay in. They have everything you need and the master suite is amazing! Beautiful views of the ocean. My only disappointment was that we weren't right on the beach. My son enjoyed fishing off the jetty and the pier though. We had a very enjoyable time.

Happy (as a) Clam! Phenomenal!!

My family and I spent a fantastic week at the Happy Clam. Gary and Sherie are outstanding hosts. This is truly a home away from home. From linens to flat wear to comfortable furniture, it is outstanding. The home is spacious, yet cozy, allowing private rooms and baths for each family. Games galore, binoculars and a crab pot for the more motivated. We watched the seals play in the bay, locals and tourists fishing, clamming, crabbing and surfing. The walk to the beach is quite easy and a huge expanse of sandy beach that stretched for miles upon arrival. The Rogue Brewery is a quick walk with good food and great IPA's. We enjoyed the ESCAPE ROOMS, an unexpected treat. The weather was fantastic all week, not something that can be controlled but an added bonus. We will certainly return in the future for another relaxing getaway. Thank you for sharing your HOME! Blessings to all. Tammy M.
