Room very hot with radiator on but wasn't needed. Struggled to get it cooled down. Room otherwise okay but was a bit dated.. Would visit again but not in the summer!!

The hotel was in a good location for us. Only minor issues were large puddles on some footpaths. The gator 4x4 had left mud across some public footpaths making them difficult to traverse for my elderly parents. Staff were friendly and most helpful. Overall would stay again.

Dated, Tired and shockingly poor service
EV charger was ok once I had messed about downloading and registering the app (why they dont have a pay by card version I dont know) Check in ok, room dated and smells of damp but clean. Gym tired and old with rusting equipment . Main restaurant closed so had to use bar which was very busy , sat for 45mins before I asked when someone would take my order waited a further 10 mins and then walked out , I did go back and the food was OK despite very poor service then made to go back to my room to look for a yellow slip pre authorisation as the staff not prepared to add to my room with out it despite having all my details round the corner at reception. , I had the vegetarian Burger, WiFi rubbish not fit for business purpose . Bed hard but clean , bathroom next door room fan noise on from 545 am and noisy Will not be using again.

Stayed overnight on business. Reception, room & restaurant good. Used the gym which is small & can get busy, open to hotel residents & local residents too. Nice comfy bed with roomy bathroom. I booked a king size bed which is two singles side by side basically. Telly in room was a bit dated but still functional. Would definitely stay again

Standard stuff.
I had a bad night sleep due to Foghorn leghorn on one side of me and Dom Jolly on the other. The mattress was poor as well I usually get a good nights sleep here also no upgrade for gold membership.

Was changed rooms because the first was one was too cold .. the second one was marginally warmer and I was woken up by the cold multiple times throughout the night .. the bedding had tears in ... The lamp shades on the wall lamps were broken .. absolute dump .. will never stay again

Stayed in a room next to a flat roof that had an air conditioning unit that ran all night (noisy) and possibly above a toilet because again, could hear the air hand dryers on & off all night. But bed was lovely & staff amazing!

Really like the hotel but annoying the room didn’t get serviced once in a 4 night stay. Tried ringing reception for more towels but didn’t answer so had to go down. A lot of hotels have gone like this since Covid but prices have gone up

Live wires in bathroom. Got a shock(Photos) Reception is a joke. Lazy and can’t be bothered. I even called the main number and no one answered. If emergency was needed and no mobile connection, what would have happened. Smelly bathrooms. Not clean. Beds are very uncomfortable. Old bedding fraid, Pillows are all stained and horrible smell. Kids running up down all night. Called reception done nothing. Until midnight banging on doors, screaming etc No security for guess. Bar was closed for 2 days while events took place had to sit in restaurant while people had dinner. Very uncomfortable. Angry staff. And angry wedding bouncer/doorman. Staff in all areas not trained throughout.

Clean, but loads of issues
Bed was not a double, but a twin with a thin mattress topper. No support and kept falling between the gap. Very uncomfortable to say the least Noise terrible from the stairs that run all along floor 1 with people coming in and out during the night Normally first room number represents the floor, so room 206 would be floor 2, but not here so that ls confusing. TVs are from the late 90s, about 22" inside Fridge was leaking and full of water on the bottom Low standard to say the least but in general clean

When i arrived the room wasn't clean so had to get a different room. The receptionist tried to charge me for the room even though I had already paid and also told me i had to pay for breakfast even though that was part of my package I bought online. The room was very hot with no way of cooling it down and the bathroom door lock was on the floor broken. Overall i fairly poor experience.

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel appeared to have a couple of weddings on but we could not hear them at all from our room. Small but completely adequate spa area and the sauna and steam room were in good working order. Very comfortable room

The corridor leading to our room smelt strongly of stale tobacco/ smoke. So much so we had to put a towel across the bottom of the door to stop the smell coming into the room. I would have requested to move, but we arrived late in the evening and were leaving early to attend a Christening. The room was OK but tired and basic. The kingsize bed was two single beds pushed together and it was not comfortable as you kept slipping between them. Breakfast was poor. It was set up in an empty function space and the tables were just randomly put out without place settings etc. The breakfast was basic - just like one at a basic Holiday Inn and both the coffee machines were broken. I regretted paying more for breakfast with my booking as we ended up going down the road and getting coffee and decent pastries. We were visiting family in the area and usually stay closer at a local Holiday Inn, but thought we'd spend a bit more for a decent hotel, but to be honest, apart from having a swimming pool, hot tub and sauna, there was no difference. It's old and tired and the only reason it has a 4 star rating is because of its facilities. Unless you are on a golf weekend with a load of lads, it's definitely not worth spending money on.

Overall good. Nice rooms. Could do with more staff at check in and out times. Only saw one receptionist at a time. Gym was adequate but could do with more running machines. Only 2 and one was out of order. They Offer room service but didn’t feel like they get asked often for this. Still good and would stay again.

Lovely hotel clean and welcoming staff went above and beyone breakfast was a slight let down the room was lovely warm and clean only down side no tv remote in the room so the tv was stuck on one channel and at one volume well different return

Nice hotel nice staff only bad thing was breakfast Luke warm borderline cold cups where not that clean and only side plate to try and put a full breakfast on a disaster to be honest.

Ok stay but better if all the facilities open
Ok stay but was after the Great North Run so really only booked for the hot tub - which wasnt working. Not ideal.
