Our stay at The Donard was excellent!! The staff were great and Kevin went out of his way to make us feel welcome and informed about everything in the hotel. Our room was perfect. Lots of space well supplied and a very comfortable bed. I would highly recommend The Donard! Great location and an excellent breakfast each morning.

We had a wonderful 2 day stay in this hotel. The room was spotless and very well equipped. I cannot praise the staff enough as they were all so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The buffet continental breakfast was excellent with a good selection of cereals, pastries, fruit and yogurt, the croissants were particularly delicious. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

This is our go to hotel when we visit Newcastle a couple of times a year. All the staff are lovely and friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovely and the beds are so comfortable. There is a choice of breakfast but we always have the buffet, which is included in the price, as we dont really like a fry in the morning. Cant wait to go back!

Exceptionally great value for a busy seaside town such as Newcastle. Check-in staff was excellent as were the rest of the staff we met. The continental breakfast was absolutely adequate and free, so great value. Room facilities were adequate as well and the bathroom was great with plenty of hot water and shower get, shampoo etc.. Great location, free parking right outside and nearby. Highlight was The Donard being so dog friendly and dog welcoming. Definitely now my place of choice to stay when we visit Newcastle.
