"We thought the room was not worth the price. It was a bit shabby and lacked the extras with a room that price. Early evening we saw two rats outside on our patio. There was a lack of staff at certain times and this was communicated to us when asking for breakfast. The bar and gardens were lovely, they were very helpful with our food choices but the Sticky toffee pudding was not to a good standard."

"The staff were friendly the room was clean. However, plumbing was shocking when a person in another room showered at the same time the cold water pressure dropped and risked scolding. In the room we were in there was poor ventilation with no aircon room was stiffling at night."

"This is a very old Inn with oak beams and uneven floors. The facilities were good however the room was unbearably hot. Even though we had 2 fans on we were just covered in sweat as soon as we came out of the shower. It was impossible to sleep."

"The staff were very friendly, and made us feel at home! The room was cozy and the view was beautiful, though the road outside was rather noisy, but it dies down after dark. I was hooked on the Cotswold Stout while we were there, and the town absolutely won our hearts! Highly recommended The Bear if you're around Marlborough!"
