Fabulous House on the Beach

We loved staying in this beautiful home! It was so well equipped with lots of attention to detail. The views could not be beat from the whole back of the house. Everything you could want in a rental house.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week at this beautiful house! The breathtaking views, beach access, well-appointed kitchen, many gathering spaces, and other amenities are unparalleled. The playground and the many toys, books, and puzzles were a hit with our young grandchildren. David was always accessible and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. We hope to return!

Fantastic house, fantastic location

House is right on the beach, and I saw the sunrise every morning come up over the water. Play area outside essential for little ones. Kitchen was so well equipped my chef brother in law felt right at home. We wanted for nothing.

Family Beach Getaway

Our mom rented Dave’s house for her 4 sons, 3 daughter-in-laws and 6 grandchildren! We all were very impressed with the beautiful beachfront well equipped house! It had everything you needed and more and Dave was great host. Despite the not so beach like weather- we had a great time! Fun time shopping in the quaint town of Newburyport. The hot tub was a lifesaver on the chilly days!!!

Wonderful Week

The home was beautiful and comfortable. The views were glorious from sunrise to sunset. We had plenty of room for our extended family of 10. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. After two days, I was sure we'd rent again!

Great place to stay!

We couldn’t have asked for a better spot for our family vacation. The house had beach access and amazing views. We absolutely loved the deck overlooking the ocean. The house was stocked with anything you’d need for cooking and grilling, and the owners supplied plenty of beach and bath towels. Speaking of the owners, Dave was fantastic and easy to reach with any questions. Would love to stay here again one day!

Great Family Vacation 2021

Our family of 12 stayed at this property recently. The house has everything you could ever want or need. We encountered a couple of issues during our stay and Dave addressed them immediately. Location leaves nothing to be desired. Steps from the beach and access to the sandbar at low tide. The kids and adults enjoyed the stay equally. We will likely be back. Thanks Dave.

Plum Island 2021

Our family of 17 stayed at this wonderful house and location. The house was well equipped. Dave and Lynn thought of every detail to make our stay fabulous. The property even had a playscape and plenty of games and art supplies for the kiddos. Dave was very always available to answer any questions we had. Our stay was everything we hoped it would be. We hope to return next year.

5 Stars just aren't enough!

I booked this stay way before COVID and 'shelter in place', so by the time it rolled around, a 'vacation' was the last thing we needed! I figured, at best, it would be a change of scenery. WOW! What scenery! Above all else, Dave was communicative before our stay in reassuring me that all necessary precautions were being made to ensure that his property was clean and virus-free. He substituted informational videos for his usual walk-through welcome tour and our departure instructions included gathering all linens for professional cleaning. We felt very safe. Even though Plum Island is not considered a 'hot spot' for the pandemic, we chose not to shop in nearby Newburyport or eat out in restaurants. That said, there was so much to do, see, explore and eat that we had a fabulous time! The house is BIG! We were 12 extended family members and we didn't even use all the bedrooms! Many chefs in the kitchen with room to spare. Dinners at the outdoor table with elbow room. Game nights in the livingroom with plenty of space for charades and dancing. Days spent in lounge chairs (one for each of us!) on multi-level decks. Quick dips in the (cold!) ocean followed by a warm-up in the hot tub. Evenings making s'mores over the fire pit and looking at the stars. Sunrise over the ocean. Sunset from the sunset-deck. 4th of July fireworks from neighboring houses on the beach and an intense lightening storm one night over the ocean. Gorgeous and stunning are 2 words that come to mind when I think of the views from the house. Inside and out, Dave and Lynn have thought of every possible convenience and luxury. The softest towels, shampoo and soap in all the showers (though I only used the outdoor one! When in Rome...) and a library full of beach-reads to browse. The kitchen is outfitted with every high-end appliance known, enough dishes and cutlery to entertain the entire neighborhood and enough space for many chefs to show their prowess and not get in eachothers' way. I HIGHLY recommend this property! We will definitely make this our yearly getaway!

Fabulous week!

Our family of 8 adults and 6 children had a fabulous week’s stay in this great house. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, implements, glasses, spices, 2 refrigerators, plus 2 cold drawers. Bathrooms were supplied with shampoo, conditioner, soaps, even makeup remover. The kids loved the beach, games, and play structure, the adults enjoyed the hot tub and spacious deck. Multiple TVs and electronic games, dvds, cds, were also popular. Dave was very responsive to any questions we had. Fabulous week!

We spent a perfect week at this property with guests ranging in age from 2-90. The house was well stocked, the layout was perfect and the beach was incredible. David has thought of everything and we can't wait to return!

The Best Vacation !!!!!!!

Our family (12+) enjoyed our 3rd visit to Dave's Spectacular Home !!! 4 Families, 5 teens and lot's of visitors !!! This house accommodates everyone with lot's of space, Gorgeous Views and tons of things to do !!! The Ocean is Fabulous and warm enough to swim...often !!! Everything we needed was already there or within walking distance to get....such a well stocked house !!!!! We All relaxed and Had A Ball!!!! Thank You Dave for everything !!! Beautifully appointed home with wonderful areas to gather and entertain both inside and out!

We loved our week at this Plum Island home! We are an extended family of young and old(er), and this home allowed us to all be together for a beach week with plenty of room for all. The location is the best on Plum Island, with a beautiful oceanfront deck and private way to the beach. The well appointed kitchen allowed for everyone to have room to prepare and cook as needed. Two large TVs, plenty of casual seating and dining areas made it easy for us to relax in the evenings. During the heat wave, the central AC was a welcome plus as we came off the beach! We look forward to a return trip.

Loved it!!!

My husband had a stroke 6 years ago and we had looked for a wheelchair accessible property right on the beach for several years with no luck until we discovered this property. It has an elevator, tempurpedic bed and an outdoor enclosed shower which the owner was kind enough to finish before we got there so that my husband could have a shower. We had a family reunion and celebrated my 75th birthday. It was a wonderful week for us thanks to the owner David Williamson who was so helpful and considerate of our situation in every way. We had a small everyday issue with batteries for the remotes for the bed and he even offered to come over at 10 pm because he knew my husband had to sleep at a 35 degree angle. We have rented houses in several countries and I have never rented a house that was so well stocked nor have I encountered such a considerate owner. The view from the deck is wonderful. We enjoyed the hot tub every night. We did have a couple of days of not great weather but the house is large enough that the three generations had plenty of room to find things to do. I hired a trainer to come two different days for an exercise class. The deck was large enough for 5 of us to work out. I can't imagine that anyone would not enjoy this property. Absolutely fabulous place to stay!!

We have stayed in many rental homes - 1 Southern Boulevard has to be the very best! It is spacious, gracious and oh so comfortable. It is beautifully decorated with high-quality appointments, tiled bathrooms and floors, elegant window treatments, great seating and dining arrangements and it has every amenity you could think of, from books & games to tea jars & coffee makers, hot tub to lobster pots. Two full refrigerators AND cold drink drawers (a great idea!); strong dependable wifi, Sonos, thick white towels, beach towels, more than enough outdoor loungers on the porch (high-quality ones at that...). And then, of course, there's the beach, just down the steps. Waves pounding away! (And there's even a swingset for kids.) If you have a crowd but don't want to be crowded (we were 14), this is a great place to stay. We all loved it; thanks ever so much to our gracious owner!

Beautiful home with a stunning view

I had several friends and family come stay in this home for two nights and everyone was blown away by the view and elegance of the home. You can hear the waves while laying in bed at night, and just a short drive into Newburyport downtown for lots of great shops and restaurants. Everyone had their own comfortable beds and everything they needed for the stay. Property was professionally cleaned before we arrived and there were ample clean towels and extra pillows and bed linens (along with extra toiletries if needed). The views and property are even more amazing in person than in the photos. I would absolutely invite everyone back to do this again. Dave, the home owner, was very helpful and accommodating before and during our stay. Highly recommend this place!!

Great Spot for relaxing

We rented this house while visiting from Europe. The house is beautiful, well kept and a perfect location. We would definitely stay there again.

A perfect beach week

I can't say enough about this property and the owner who opened his home to us and made it our home for a week. We celebrated our son's wedding in July and were looking for a vacation place to hold our extended family for an opportunistic vacation. The minute we toured the place the previous winter, we knew that we not only had a great vacation spot but had also solved our problem of where to hold the rehearsal dinner. The deck would easily hold our large dinner party of up to 50 people and could even manage that many inside in case of rain. The days preceding the hectic weekend were blissful. The grandkids played on the playset, the beach, and in the hot tub. The adults, young and not-so-young, relaxed or played on one of the three decks, on the beach or in the ever-popular hot tub. The beverage fridge drawers next to the deck got quite a workout! When it got hot, it was easy to cool off by either walking down to the ocean - a bit steep and rough for the little kiddies, so be aware of this if you're looking for tot-friendly beachfront - or into the house for an air-conditioned view over the beach (or a nap). With a convenience and package store across the street, you don't have to go anywhere. And we didn't except for a few adventurers who went kayaking/birding in the marshes and another few intrepid explorers who had fun in the shops of Newburyport, about five minutes away. The owner stays about five minutes away and is available to help in large or small emergencies, whether it's trying to figure out his custom lighting or sound systems, a backed up bathtub, or an oven failure. There are detailed printed instructions to ward off the small emergencies, but he was out the next morning after the oven failure with a brand new high-end oven. (We postponed its installation until after we left because the remaining full-size oven in the gourmet kitchen was more than enough to get us through the week.) All in all, the personal attention was a wonderful thing - it made us feel like welcome guests and it made us act like conscientious guests who wanted to help keep this amazing house in good condition. When the relaxing was over, the house became a fantastic party site. We hosted increasing numbers of visiting family and friends as the wedding grew near, and the rehearsal dinner could not have been lovelier. (Catered by Creative Catering in Beverly, who did a great job.) Our only problem now is that everyone wants to make this an annual event!
