Wonderfull
In my very personal opinion, everything was wonderful, I have always been fascinated and relaxed by direct contact with nature, its tranquility and peace are very revitalizing for both me and my family and we would love to return very soon, we would only like you to facilitate us if possible a slightly larger refrigerator and a slightly more modern TV, otherwise everything was perfect thanks

Sweet Little Hunting Cabin in the Woods
Enjoyed our stay at the sweet little cabin in the woods. Darlene was an awesome host, easy to reach and so wonderfully hospitable. Loved all the sweet touches left to make us comfortable. The back porch is a wonderful peaceful place to have a cup coffee or a glass of wine and just relax.

Just book it!
Don’t worry, this cabin won’t disappoint! Just book it! From outside to inside all expectations were far exceeded. The inside was nice and roomy for our group of 3 and could easily fit 3-4 more, all appliances and electronics were functional and well maintained, as well as all cooking utensils. The beds were comfortable and the a/c unit did it’s job superbly. As for outdoors, there’s plenty of private yet open space to enjoy from sun up to sundown, the fire pit was also a great bonus as well as the gas grill. Communication was immaculate. All in all, just book it!

Highly recommend!
We just stayed one night while traveling, but this made for a wonderful respite along the way! Darlene is a great hostess! I would recommend this cabin to anyone!

Weekend Getaway
Took the weekend to get out of town with my fiance and a couple of friends. We got there to a cute note with some fresh tomatos out of the yard. There were also muffin mix packets, plenty of coffee for the Kuerig and an ice maker Had! Had a delightful time hanging out on the patio, making s'mores, grilling chicken, and playing cards. Went on a couple walks down the neighborhood that were super relaxing. Even though we were walking on a paved road only saw a few cars the entire time. Cabin is really close to lots of beautiful recreation areas and hiking trails as it is right next to Sumter National Park. Thanks again!

Great place
Don’t judge a book by its cover. This is a hidden gem. Quiet and comfortable. We took 3 adults and 3 kids 7 and under. Fit all of us no problem. Highly recommend and will stay again.

Perfect cabin for our family. Only an hour away from Fort Jackson and 15 minutes from downtown Newberry. Hostess was awesome and cabin had everything we needed. Would definitely return ❤️😊

It's been a bit since my fiance & I stayed here, but currently leaving a review as this was a memorable stay for us. The property is peaceful/clean like the home. Hosts were pleasant & on point.

Beautiful, cozy place.
My husband and I stayed overnight with five children on our way to myrtle beach. It was cheaper than the two hotels rooms our group would have required, and we were able to be under one roof. The hummingbirds with our morning coffee were a highlight for sure! Property owner was amazing about communication and even mailed earrings I left behind.

Awesome!
This place is awesome and exactly as mentioned in the description and more. we stayed here on our trip to Fort Jackson to see my daughter and wanted to stay outside of the city and enjoy the forest and country area surrounding Columbia with this we hit a jackpot and especially our host Darlene who is very communicative and very attentive in case we needed her for anything great place to stay!

Convenient, Clean, Quiet and Well Equipped
We were a group of 4 who were in the area to walk the Palmetto Trail and explore Newberry. The cabin was perfectly located to do both, close to Newberry, and only a couple of miles from the trailheads of two Trail segments. The cabin is very well equipped, spotlessly clean, and laid out with all bedrooms, and the bathroom all off the common area, useful for those in the party who get up earlier than others. Highly recommended, hope to use again.

Sumter Forest Cabin
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was great to get away from the city and watch butterflies and hummingbirds while relaxing on the beautiful back deck. The cabin is very nice and the back yard running right up to the forest is gorgeous. We saw foxes, deer and turkeys when walking on the country roads near the cabin. The September weather was wonderful, and we got to see the beginning of fall coloring. Darlene and Tony were also very attentive and hospitable. The welcome basket was very thoughtful and complemented the well-stocked kitchen. We would like to come back again if we have a chance.

Peaceful Getaway

We stayed here with our 4 kids until we could close on our house. The cabin is very clean and we’ll-stocked with more than just necessities. The owner is very responsive and kind. We loved it!

Perfect relaxation spot
The cabin was exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway! The location was remote and peaceful. It was only about a 14 minute drive to town which was convenient. Darlene was great about getting us anything we needed to make our stay even better! We spent most of our time out on the back porch, watching the hummingbirds! We will definitely be staying here when we come back to Newberry!

Great getaway
Our stay in this rustic, cozy cabin was very enjoyable. Special touches in the cabin made it feel homey and inviting. It was exceptionally clean, all utensils needed for meals were provided, the beds were comfortable, and there were beautiful woods to explore just outside the back door. Darlene is a wonderful host, could not have been any nicer. She was readily available to answer any questions and was warm and sincere in all our communications. While our stay was brief, it was nevertheless a great little getaway.

A lil piece of Heaven
This place was awesome, clean, perfect for our family to rest and renew, I have never seen so many hummingbirds and the reddest cardinals I have ever seen. Absolutely beautiful and a piece of Heaven on earth.

You won't be disappointed!
We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean, comfortable and came with everything we needed. We arrived in the evening and didn't have time to shop. I thought we would have to have granola bars that were left from our car trip for breakfast however there was a basket of instant oatmeal packets in the kitchen- a nice surprise! The cabin had everything we needed including a Keurig, a washer & dryer and an air conditioner. We loved watching all the hummingbirds too! I counted twelve at the feeders at one time. If you are considering this cabin- don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed.

Little cabin getaway in the woods.
Very nice little getaway with all the comforts of home. Very clean, just minutes from downtown Newberry. Just one thing I would have wanted is screens on windows and doors so we could have them open. However the back porch was great!

As peaceful as discribed and a very aranging landlord
The house has made us really good and enabled us to spend a really good weekend, as peaceful as discribed. We enjoyed the porch and the garden even in January and loved the kitchen and the couches. Darlene has been really arranging and we really are grateful for our time there.

Quaint and Quiet... Just what we ordered.
Cabin was cozy but surprisingly spacious. Slept 8 with no problem. Kitchen had all the utensils needed to make Christmas Dinner. Clean and comfy. We will stay again. Thank you.

Absolutely Loved It!!!
This cabin is exactly as described and more. Darlene was amazing. She went out of her way to accommodate us and we so appreciated it. The property is beautiful. The land is spacious, quite, but still can access stores if needed. We liked it so much we hardly left the property. We had a great Thanksgiving vacation. We had 7 people and still had plenty of room. GREAT place to stay!!!

very nice quiet house and beautiful humming birds
Did you know that humming birds 'chirp' when in a group? Very nice quiet house, very clean, beautiful porch and yard. Held 6 people with room to move around inside. Owner was extremely helpful with directions to farmers markets, swimming beaches, and other local items of interest. Was able to contact owner and get response very quickly.
