What is that saying? If it smells like a duck…I should have known. This place texted me at least 16 times outside of vrbo app. Did I do this , do I know that it was extremely frustrating and I finally called about 2 weeks out and said can I please cancel, they said no way then they were super adamant about this really long and detailed ( in their favor ) contract . As I said if it smells… place is on a very busy hour gate windows are old and not insulated so REALLY LOUD, do not believe all the 10s . There is no way I would give it a 10. I called and asked if they had a different room they said this is not an emergency so call us when we open on the app Which I did they wanted me to pay a second cleaning fee so I said no thanks oh and there is no elevator and there is only street parking or public city parking away from property Even tho they told me there was a designated parking spot! Read the fine print not the reviews

The highway noise was pretty loud, especially early morning traffic, but we were honestly warned about that and overall we enjoyed staying in this historic part of Newberg. Many places to visit were within walking distance!

Great little apartment!

Cute little apartment in downtown Newberg and very close to GFU campus (purpose of my trip). Quiet—if I had neighbors I never heard them. Not for the elderly or handicapped, though. Steep stairs to get to the second floor where the apartments are.

Charming Reno

This is my second visit to this charming location. Interior of units have been tastefully renovated and the host has an eye for experiential detail…from the welcome gift to coffee and teas as well as bath products. Be forewarned that the steps to unit are steep and the close proximity to 99w makes it a little noisy BUT these potential negatives do not bother me…extra steps are good and the sound machine/ear plugs solve the noise issue.

The suite is pleasantly large. It would make a good place for a longer stay. The stairs up to the second floor would be a challenge for some. 30 day cancellation requirement! A bit harsh. Also there is a crazy long contract!

Relax and rest

Couldn’t be more thrilled with our stay. We had a stressful travel day and arrived late in the evening. But then we walked in and everything was clean and bright and welcoming. There was a bottle of wine for unwinding and coffee for the morning. We would totally come back here. I especially appreciate the special touches like smell good bar soap, ear plugs for us light sleepers and a white noise machine.

Recommended

The property and manager were great! No complaints whatsoever. Would highly recommend. Just one item, and the manager is very transparent about this, there is quite a bit of traffic noise easily heard throughout the property. Owned provide noise machine (that didn’t work) and ear plugs to help but it’s still noisy. Not a deal breaker for us because everything else is excellent about this property and our stay. The location for an Oregon wine vacation is excellent. Many wineries quite close and Newberg offers all you’d need as a “home base.” Great area.

This property is very clean and tidy! The white fluffy towels are delightful! There are very steep stairs immediately upon opening the door to the building. I think this should be included in the listing because it could be a significant barrier. There are NO closets or dressers to put your clothes. There is a rod over a cupboard in the bathroom which is very awkward. The bathroom lighting is horrible! It makes it very difficult to put makeup on. The location was good and code entry was easy, but the issues mentioned above make this property not quite what we were hoping for.

Super Nice Property Managers

Our flight was severely delayed so we ended up not making it to the property for the stay. However, in the days leading up to the event, the property management folks reached out and offered to help us with any needs we had. They were so nice and helpful, I was really bummed we weren't able to make it.

GF Parent Weekend

This property was fantastic. We were in Newberg for parent weekend at GF and the location was perfect. A very short drive to the campus though we easily could have walked there. The interior of this property was impeccable. The size was perfect for the two of us with a small kitchen, dining room, and living room to relax in. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we've slept in. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Wonderful Flat!!

Well stocked, great quality items and very comfortable. There were lots of instructions about where to find things and how they work. Awesome literature on happenings around . Very private and accessible. A little much on the traffic noise but ear plugs were provided and did the trick.

Wine country getaway

We stayed here for a two night getaway with my husband. It was very clean and everything was newer in the place. It was great for one or two nights. Although the king bed is very comfortable the street noise from cars and people walking in the streets was almost unbearable, making a good night sleep difficult. Not sure there is anything the renter could do as they are aware of the problem and have provided earplugs at the bedside tables. Additionally I would suggest that a table lamp for the living room be added. The overhead light does not bring a cozy relaxing atmosphere and I borrowed a light from the bedroom to watch early morning TV. The kitchen had adequate equipment to make breakfast. The dishwasher in such a small unit was nice to have. This place was really nice minus near a highway with lots of noise.
