When I made my reservation I asked for a room in the non-smoking section and they gave me smoking, I also asked please be on the first floor and they gave me on the second, it came out with breakfast included and when I asked they told me that they did not give breakfast so please do not put in the pages what they are not going to offer the terrible cleaning

EXTREMELY DISGUSTING, STAY AWAY!

I have never stayed anywhere that was more horrible than this place. The building is extremely old. The room was so disgusting, and dirty. The blanket (which was more like a very thin sheet) had multiple stains and hair on it. The room was cold. The carpeting in the room smelled horrible. Just take my advice and stay away from this place. I paid about 60$ per night. I should have just spend 20-30$ more and stayed somewhere else. This place deserve 0 stars.

Close to everything but the hotel needs upgrading. Bathrooms needed upgrades and not enough towels. Rugs were dirty.

The “smoke free” room with the cigarette stench

The room reeked of cigarette smoke. Asked manager for another room. Was ignored. Employee sprayed room with deodorizer. He said “You’ll be ok now” This masked the smell for only a short time. Had difficult time sleeping due to smell of cigarettes and the headaches and sinus problems caused by this. Discussed this with front desk clerk at checkout to no avail. Am waiting to see if management try’s to accuse us of smoking in the room and trying to bill us for the cleaning of the room neither my wife nor I smoke and have never smoked.

The worst place I have ever seen! I could stay in my car.I found someone’s hair on the pillow cover. Yellow color “thing” around the toilet paper. Disgusting!!!

A dump.

Linens dirty. Moaning from next door room. Toilet plunger in bathroom. Totally unexpected dump given the nice location. Moved to a different hotel after checking in.

Good location, very close to the University of Delaware. The room door card readers were not functioning properly. Myself and other guests had difficulty with the door cards, as the doors wouldn't open unless you swiped very quickly.

The room was somewhat decent however the bathtub and shower had a lot of mold and the mini fridge was apparently broken and smelled. It’s a shame that the property is neglected being that it’s in such a great area.

Nothing. This place was run down, dirty carpets, rooms smelled like cigarette smoke and the bedding had cigarette burn holes in it, showers had some some mold and mildew stains in the corners, stpes oitsode were in bad shape. All over it was a terrible experience.

The room is not tidy, smell very bad,I left the room in the middle of the night around 3:25 to my friend Apartmen because the smell is unbearable.

Milking the property. No reinvestment . Fifthly room. Mold on shower curtain & room curtain. Room smells. Worst hotel in 40 years. No maid service for 2 days. I moved to a Quality Inn. Much better! Stairs are uneven. Good location but not worth it

Newark, DE Super 8.

The location, near the University of Delaware and a short drive to Pennsylvania’s Brandywine Valley area, was ideal for our purposes. The motel itself, regrettably, isn’t well maintained. As an example, the fact that we found someone else’s sock on the floor in our room is ample testimony to careless housekeeping.

So dirty and falling apart. Will not stay there again. Only good thing but not worth staying there for was the location on Main St. Someone needs to tear down and rebuild and could make a fortune being so close to UD.

First, the office is FILTHY and messy. The parking lot and the sidewalk to the rooms are littered with trash. The room did not have the heat on (even though it was 17° outside) and took about an hour to warm up. The walls are shoddily patched all over. There was not ONE decent useable outlet to plug anything into. All the outlets were old and to loose to hold a plug. Stains on all the covers to the bed and the floor. Dirty, used tissues under the bed (I moved it to try to find an outlet). The outlet behind the bed that the lamps were plugged into had a nearly exposed and loose outlet box. If I hadn’t just driven over 7 hours, I would have left and found a better place. If you want crack house atmosphere, by all means, stay here. One saving grace: the sheets and pillow cases were clean (as far as I could tell) Do yourself a favor: don’t stay here!
