Mínimo mantenimiento El personal es muy amable y la habitación moderna y funcional pero el mantenimiento es insuficiente. Al llegar, vimos que la cisterna soltaba agua constantemente y lo dijimos, pero seguimos con el ruido pues ni siquiera pudimos cerrar la llave de paso que parecía que se iba a desprender. La limpieza deja mucho que desear: la ducha tiene todo el borde con moho negro, el rebosadero del lavabo también está muy sucio y en la habitación todos los rincones están llenos de polvo, y una de las almohadas tiene manchas negras. Y respecto al mantenimiento, pues hay tornillos que faltan o están salidos, la puerta de la ducha que no encaja y salpica el agua, la alfombrilla llena de agujeros... Pero lo peor es la calle, está llena de basura por el suelo, incluso hay una rata muerta que debe llevar muchos días pues está momificada; en los tres días que hemos estado por allí no sé han limpiado las calles. Ya sé que esto no es culpa del hotel pero yo intentaría tener los alrededores más limpios.

Nice hotel , clean and the staff were nice. A few things were a little broken like the handheld shower and there was no window other than a sky window but other than that the hotel was lovely and we would stay again.

Stayed at this hotel for a night. The elevators didn't work. My room had a small old space heater. The room was also old. The wallpaper was peeling off. The pillows where hard like rocks. For one night it was fine but I wouldn't recommend.

The hotel was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Very quiet. The only negative would be that they don’t supply a bar, or a restaurant area.

In its best days this place was likely very lovely. Present day, it’s run down, many things in the rooms are broken, (glass bathroom doors, lights, fixtures on walls and in bathroom). When we arrived the elevator was not working and we had to carry our heavy luggage up two flights of stairs.No food, or morning coffee, or parking…we had a place to stay and sleep but it’s in disrepair and sad. I hope the new owners bring it back to life soon instead of keeping it a slum sort of hotel.

This was exactly what we needed. Conveniently located to amenities. The space was huge (junior suite). Plenty of amenities in the room (storage, fridge, coffee, microwave). Transit was easy.

My wife and I were placed in a disgusting room with a heater that didn't work in the cold of New York. The staff knew this and still placed us in the room. They were kind enough to put in a space heater that didn't work beyond 1 foot. The room never got above 53 degrees. Manager never reached out for a resolution as requested after the stay.

The design and concept of this hotel is cool and fascinating. The rooms are pretty good. However, the area is far from perfect, and the maintenance could be better. However, once I got over the idea of the neighbourhood it was in, the two nights stay was pretty enjoyable.

The pictures were most likely taken pre-covid because the lobby had more of a barrier to the desk than shown. It's fine for a night's stay but more of a darker environment than what any of these rooms are showing

The worst hotel ever. Do not stay here. It was dirty. Smelled like weed. The staff was rude. The queen size bed had tiny flat pillows. The towels were dirty and not clean. You could see the dirt on the vents

Do not stay there,it looks like that hotel is housing people the whole place smelled so strong of Weed and cigarettes,the room I had when I walked in it smelled like someone just finish smoking weed in the room, I tried to open the window and couldn't because it was broken the window came off the hinges,the bathroom door to use the toilet was stuck and could not close it when i called the front desk to ask for another room they stated that i took the last room..I would not recommend this place at all.

You can't beat the price for a Brooklyn hotel. However, it's noisy. We moved from a room near the train tracks to the back of the property, but you can hear doors banging, toilets flushing, and coffee machines most of the night. You have to ask to have the rooms cleaned. The elevators weren't working for four of the five nights we stayed. If we stay again, it will be because of the price, but know it won't be an ideal experience.

The room was clean with an updated and spacious bathroom and quiet despite facing a very busy street. The lobby had definitely seen better days and the elevator was not consistently operating smoothly. The immediate outside area of the hotel was not very nice but it was in walking distance to nicer areas. Overall ok for the price.

I honestly am someone who strives to feel good with my choices, whether I am at home with family or traveling for work. My go-to mode in uncomfortable situations is to appreciate all that I have in life and move on. However, I do have a limit, and the Brooklyn Hotel has brought me to complaint. When paying NYC prices for a room, and finding many of its appliances in disrepair -- from wobbly bed lamps, to floppy bathroom shelves, to clogged sinks, to GFCI plugs that could not be reset (fire concern?) -- I struggled to keep a good attitude. I decided to address the most egregious situation; a clogged sink that takes ten minutes to drain is a bit of an inconvenience for a week long stay, and spoke to someone at the front desk on day one. Nothing changed, so I resigned myself to substandard customer care. But if it was those issues alone, and the staff had been friendly or personable in any way, the room situation would have been more manageable. This was unfortunately not the case: There was never a kind or friendly greeting as I checked in/out, entered and exited daily for work, or when I had to make small inquires about logistics. One of the folks, who I am guessing was a manager, eyed me suspiciously any time our paths crossed. All other employees were as flat as could be. All around a disappointing experience. I suppose if you needed to be in that neighborhood for work, it is passable. But I would not expect anything other than the bare minimum for your money.

O quarto me surpreendeu em contraste ao lobby velho e desgastado. O atendimento foi razoável. O elevador em 7 dias quebrou duas vezes, uma delas com minha esposa e eu dentro. (Detalhe: tinha lido muitos comentários sobre o problema). Facil acesso a estação d9 metrô, mas a vizinhança nao era agradável.

The hotel rooms were quite nice. The room was modern, the shower was awesome, the bed was comfortable and I was overall pleased with the hotel. The only things I didn’t like was I had to call to the front desk to get extra towels, soap, bottled waters etc. I stayed for four nights and they didn’t clean the room once. For that length of stay you would expect at least one room cleaning. The staff is super friendly and accommodating but I would have expected a maid to clean the room during my stay The area around the hotel was alright but if you are expecting a Manhattan adjacent hotel do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. It costs at least $60 in cab fare to get from Manhattan to this hotel. If you’re looking for the trendy neighborhoods of Brooklyn adjacent look elsewhere. It cost me $29 in cab fare to get to Williamsburg and $35 to get to Red Hook. If you’re in Brooklyn for a Nets game you might be alright as the Barclays Center is a short cab ride away. All in all this property is nice, the room is nice, the bed is nice, the shower is nice etc but it’s location isn’t adjacent to almost all of the things a NYC tourist wants to see.

This was sufficient for what I needed but I would never stay again. The hotel was barely clean, the elevator was broken, and there was a bad smell in the room the entire time. Not what I would recommend for anyone who wasn’t desperate.

If you are looking for a low cost option that is relatively close to a subway line that will get you where you need to go, then this is a good option. The employees were very nice and the room was big and comfortable...however the tv didn't really work (it would shut itself off and then channels would not work) so that was a little annoying when I was in the room. Also, the elevator was not reliable at all...so I had to take the stairs up and down from the 4th floor...which I didn't love...but I didn't die so I guess all is well.
