The property’s decor is older, my older in-laws who love nice antiques would like the feel, but it’s decorated conservatively and with great charm. We stayed in a King bedroom suite, and it was really lovely. I have to tell you, we prefer much more modern these days, especially our teenage son, but it was nice. The televisions could be a bit bigger though, screen sizes are smaller, and there was a lot of construction noise going on outside, but we were facing 55th street, so I’m sure other sides were better. All of the staff were nice and kind, very genuine. They don’t have their own parking garage but there is a garage one block away and only $42.00 for 24 hrs. The hotel will hold your luggage if it’s before check in or even after check out. Also, the location was perfect for us as we were seeing a performance at Carnegie Hall, only 1/6 of a mile away. Not to mention many other tourist attractions. Lastly, the hotel was very affordable, but not in a cheap way at all, without all of the modern day extras, they can offer very reasonable pricing. That was the icing on the cake. I would definitely stay here again and probably will when we are in the city again. Joy, Rm. 501 4/13-4/14
