/We stayed here 09/2017. Our tiny room was on a cellar floor with a half window which opened without screen or bars in to the parking lot. The parking lot had spaces for 7 cars and was always full. You cannot tell the parking lot is full until you have entered it, and then need to navigate a 3-point turn to leave the single lane ramp entrance/exit, without enough room to perform the feat. The area itself is a run down section of Brooklyn, all ground floor windows BUT the hotel had bars on them. We were forced to use street parking which left us uncomfortable as free off-street parking was one of the reasons we went with this hotel.
The room itself was very small, only big enough for the bed and a dresser, which the doors/drawers couldn't be opened because the bed blocked them. The refrigerator was unplugged and we had to move the furniture around just to plug it in. There was a plastic bag taped over the smoke detector, there were large stains on the comforter and the shower did not have hot water.
The continental breakfast was mediocre.
When we attempted to check out, we encountered no one running the desk. Through the glass partition that separates the employees and customers, there was a back room with a glass door. The desk attendant was ASLEEP in a chair and would not wake. We called the desk and though he was sleeping right next to the phone, he didn't stir. We called corporate, they offered no help. We called later to check out over the phone. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
