Excellent Unit

We had an enjoyable time. The unit was accurately represented in the details and photos. The unit was very clean and well equipped. We had a great view of the ocean considering it was on the west side of South Atlantic Avenue. The patio was spacious. One of the 2 pools was within walking distance.

First time at New Smyrna Beach. Very nice condo with nice decoration and great ocean view. Everything we need for our staying. We should rent it again in the future

We had an issue with this condo as far as the cleaning. The cleaning service was using a malfunctioning vacuum cleaner and the rug was very dirty as were the corners of the condo. Pretty much hair, lint, dust, dirt, etc. I took photos and emailed Ocean Properties who did not get back to me for 3 days. In the meantime, I fixed the vacuum cleaner and cleaned the floors myself. Ocean properties did refund our cleaning fee at the very end of our three days. Also, there was not an air filter in the furnace/ac unit even though the ac unit was new, that is not good maintenance. The condo itself is very nicely decorated although things are not in new condition. Comfty condo overall, we had use of towels and beach equipment which was nice. I do not recommend the condo if you have small children as it is more of a walk than you might want to do to get to the beach. Spend the extra money and rent on the beachside. The walk is not only across the street but sideways to the crosswalks. Lots of construction going on in condo that is on the beach where your crosswalk is. Overall nice condo, overpriced as they all are, would prob not go back. Expedia and VRBO charged us extra, so we ended up paying an extra $400, do yourself a favor and look up the local rental services. Also, one last thing, south Smyrna has nothing except condos, to even get to a coffee shop or 7-11 is 2 miles drive, consider that when renting. Next time we will stay in North Smyrna or Flagler or Ormond.

Disappointing based on pictures provided

Upon arriving on Wednesday, August 17 the unit (18506) felt humid. We check the wall air conditioning thermostat and it showed a high humidity level in the condo. We noticed immediately the air conditioning filter in entry hallway was covered in dust and the grate covering it was as well. We called Ocean Properties office and they had a repair person come out on Thursday and change the filter. While we were out, the filter was changed, however, the grate was left filthy and the door to condo was left unlocked. The humidity was so bad in this unit that we ran a dehumidifier, found in kitchen pantry, day and night the entire week. We moved it from room to room. Without it the bed linens and our clothes were damp. The high level of humidity may be a building problem, but we’ve never had this problem in any other Ocean Walk unit. Other issues: The shower curtain rod and rings in front bath are rusty. Door stops are rusty. Top of refrigerator was filthy and was obviously not cleaned by cleaning crew. All of the rugs, covers on couch, ottoman, and chairs on patio are dirty and need cleaning. My daughter found nail clippings on rug in living area. Mattresses on all beds are too soft for our liking. Pillows were yellowed. There were two nicer pillows in master bedroom closet, but we were unable to locate proper size pillow cases. There were so many old pillows and old down comforters (yellow as well) that there is no shelf space in the closets. Table and chairs on patio have majority of paint peeled off. It appears the owners originally set this condo up nicely, however, decorating in all white fabric requires more upkeep that what is being done. Storage unit filled with old rusty and sandy beach accessories. Storm door didn’t close when we arrived. The kitchen was nice and adequately stocked. Washer and dryer worked well and were in good condition. Great view of ocean. In conclusion, this is the last time I’m renting condos managed by Ocean Properties. The last time I rented from OP, the unit had a rug in living area that had animal urine and was removed and cleaned. There was a cup on balcony with water and cigarette butts in it. Overall, the units are poorly maintained.

Luxury Ocean-view Condo

My 2 adult children and I stayed here for a weekend to visit my brother. Our only regret is we couldn’t stay longer. Without a doubt, this was the most elegant condo we have ever stayed in. The decorations were beautiful and unusual and totally color coordinated. The cleanliness was exemplary. We will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises.

New Smyrna Get Away

This Ocean Walk condo in New Smyrna Beach is one of the cleanest, best decorated places we have had the pleasure to visit. Even though it’s not on the ocean, there is a nice ocean view. There was only one problem with the condo. The window and sliding glass door coverings in the master bedroom do nothing to keep out the morning sun. We ended up sleeping in a back bedroom since the master is east facing and the sun rises early in the summer months. It’s such an easy fix to buy room darkening curtains on Amazon. But lots of people are early risers and this is most definitely a beautiful place to stay.

Lovely stay

Our first family vacation in over a year. Condo was perfect size (although I was a bit daunted with 4 kids and white couches and chairs! But they did great). Lovely decor, close to beach, they had beach towels and chairs to use. Place was very clean. We didn’t spend much time at the pool
