This is a gem of a place. The host is very responsive and proactive. The property is lovely, right on the beach - great place to see a nighttime rocket launch from Cape Canaveral. Four bedrooms that fit seven of us easily. Good kitchen and living room area. Plenty of parking. Overall a great experience.

Beachfront Cottage Paradise

We adored staying at the Tatum House Cottage! It exceeded our expectations! It felt like home the minute we entered the front door and were greeted by the most charming coastal cottage decor and a lemon cake with our name on it. It is obvious the owners take great care of this home. We had 3 young adult sons staying with us, each having their own bedroom. The beach is perfect. Soft sand, No garbage or seaweed or other mysterious things (at least while we were there). The ocean was perfect for a swim from morning until night. The town was charming, with many delicious restaurants including the Breakers, Prima, and Outrigger- all yummy with great service. We hope to return again!

This is the perfect cottage by the sea! Each room is decorated in a cozy, coastal vibe, and drenched in light from large windows that frame a stunning view of the ocean. It was such a pretty place to settle in for some much needed time away! There are so many things to love— the fluffy beds, the architectural authenticity, the details celebrating New Smyrna’s history, and how thoughtfully appointed the house is, from its kitchen to its shed full of beach items. All this, and just steps away from the ocean!

Simply amazing!

We held our annual reunion with friends with some dating back to elementary school. Everyone loved it so much, we are considering having it here every year. The home is beautiful, well stocked and in a perfect location. I wish that I could give it 6 Stars! We will be back.

We enjoyed peaceful mornings with coffee on the deck, afternoons in the sun and sand, and cozy evenings together in the warm, welcoming living space.The host, Marla was incredibly kind and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed and even offering great local tips. You can tell this home is well cared for and loved.This beach house was the perfect setting for a multigenerational family getaway, and it gave us lasting memories we’ll cherish forever. Quaint Beach House!

Overall, great hosts. We had everything we needed! I wish I would have known cars parked on the beach but I guess I should have just known the area I was staying in. Other than that, the house is really nice - the owners are even nicer! So if you LOVE New Smyrna Beach - this is your spot. Also, house got really cold at night which I totally loved! Thanks again

Perfect little beach house!

The views and access to the beach alone make this property a must stay. The inside was clean and beautifully decorated. Large parking area and many conveniences including a pack and play and high chair for baby! We enjoyed watching the sunrise each morning and watching the little turtles come out from the dunes!

Fabulous place

Being on the beach was such a treat for my family who all live up North. We had long daily walks and several went surfing in the ocean. The house is very close to Flagler where all the shops, restaurants, and bars are located. The cottage is very well equipped in the kitchen and there are many towels for the bathrooms and the beach. The beds are inviting with their comforters and pillows. We loved every aspect of the cottage and had a wonderful stay.

Had a wonderful stay at this property. Check in was a breeze. The back porch is well appointed with plenty of seating and direct access to the beach. There is a large shed on property with an assortment of beach items - we used the bikes to ride to the French Bakery in the morning. All furnishings were as described. The location, ample parking and views cannot be beat! Owner was responsive and baked a lemon Bundt cake which was waiting for us upon our arrival - nice touch! Overall, excellent property and would definitely recommend.

Lovely Beachfront Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tatum House! The property manager was very accessible and I loved all of the extras! (bikes, beach chairs, towels, etc). The house itself was roomy enough for our group of eight. We all enjoyed the back porch/patio area, esp. the rocking chairs. 10/10 would stay here again!

We wanted a place that was right on the beach to celebrate our daughter and husband with the rest of our family before their baby boy is born. The Tatum house looked so special and exceeded our expectations! The location is ideal in every way, the outdoor dining areas and grill made every bite taste even better, the abundance of beach chairs, tents, toys and towels made beach time so convenient, and the charming home, and fluffy beds made relaxing ever so easy. We enjoyed 3 days here, and we all can't wait to go again. The next time, we'll bring baby Bennett with us too!

The Beach Weekend

Our host provides everything needed for a family to relax and enjoy time at the beach. This property is truly a 5 star. Accurately described. Check in and check out are smooth. Easy private beach access. The outdoor area around the back of the house facing the beach is spacious allowing all of us to be outside for dinner and drinks. The grill was clean with plenty of propane for cooking. Inside 7 adults were comfortable for lounging and sleeping. Wonderful experience!

A Historic Beauty on the Beach

Our family of 6 loves The Tatum House and we plan of coming back. Our hosts were super responsive and thought of everything, including being welcomed with a delicious lemon cake upon arriving. We spent four amazing nights and our adult kids and family had no problem settling comfortably in. The beds were comfy with high end bedding, a wonderful cozy open living/ kitchen area that had a five star view. The porches had excellent hang out areas. Easy direct access to beach with a stunning up close view! The back porch has a wonderful covered area in case it rains with rocking chairs. I have to mention how well the AC works. We rent beach homes and condos often and this one really works and no temperature requirements! Also, I totally appreciated such a lovely historic decorated so beautifully.
