This property delivers!

We had a group of seven fun retirees. We have been renting houses all over Florida for the last several years. This property was the cleanest, most well stocked, and spacious place we have ever stayed. We started everyday in the outdoor space. In fact we spent a lot of time there. Very nice, big pool. The jacuzzi was used quite often too. Everything was well maintained and clearly with a lot of care and attention. The walk to the beach was short. Maybe two minutes. And the house is well stocked with beach accessories. We didn’t need a thing! Communication was excellent when we had a question or needed a little direction on a few things. Rental here did not disappoint!

Amazing stay!

We traveled with our grown children, their spouses, and our grandchildren. This home is stocked with everything you need from beach towels, wagon and a beach canopy to a kitchen complete with an extra ice maker for beach cooler fill ups! We opted to heat the pool for our stay and were not disappointed. The short walk to the beach was a breeze, making trips back and forth super easy. Extremely clean, well maintained, and beautifully decorated!

Great vacation house.

The house is a great place for a family vacation. Clean with tons of amenities, very close to (2 minute walk)New Smyrna Beach. Communication with the host(s) was fantastic as well. Great restaurants in the area as well

Clearly a Notch above!

Exactly as advertised and better in the attention to details than any other VRBO we have used, and there have been many. Well done! Hard to get the kids to leave the pool. I wonder what the record is for total hours in the pool per day?

This was a great house, very well stocked for arrival and all things needed for beach and pool, very clean and a good set up for a large family. We thoroughly enjoyed the home and the prompt communication with the homeowner. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly!!!

Great time with amazing pool

Check in process with easy and house was clean. Kids loved the pool and was a short walk to the beach. Street is busy and fairly loud but everything was as advertised. Would stay again!

Christmas 2024

Wonderful property. Well maintained. Perfect location. Had a minor issue with the hot tub heat that the owner addressed immediately and we were totally satisfied with that resolution. (Even responding on Christmas Day) As it turned out it was a bit chilly for normal swimming in any event, but the cost to consider heating it to 80 degrees at 125 per day really should be disclosed when renting. But definitely would return if we have occasion to. Jim.

Everything was exceptionally nice. I only had one issue the pool was not heated The headline is heated pool and hot tub. It should say heated pool at additional cost Anyone renting this place will not be disappointed and the contacts were available and accommodating

5 Stars! Absolutely Perfect Family Getaway at Happy Island Retreat!

We recently stayed at the Happy Island Retreat in New Smyrna Beach with our family, including our 18-month-old toddler, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Despite the area recently experiencing a hurricane, New Smyrna Beach was in fantastic shape, perfect for a holiday, and the property exceeded all our expectations. The pool was a highlight for us – clean, well-maintained, and such a great spot for both relaxation and fun. Our toddler loved it, and we spent hours soaking up the sunshine poolside. The cleanliness of the entire property was impeccable, and it was clear that the hosts take pride in maintaining a welcoming and spotless environment for their guests. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare family meals, and we found everything we needed to cook up a storm! Communication with the host was exceptional from start to finish – they were attentive, responsive, and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, we would highly recommend Happy Island Retreat for any family looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained property with excellent amenities. It’s a gem in New Smyrna Beach, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit! Thank you for an unforgettable holiday experience!
