I feel I have reasonable expectations with a budget-friendly hotel, but starting from check-in, I was disappointed.
Pros - large, spacious rooms, reasonably priced, one staff member (I wish I had asked for his name) was super nice and tried to do all he could to resolve my concerns. The property genuinely has potential if they would clean it up, offer a proper breakfast, and train staff to be more professional.
Cons - The hallways are dirty - very dirty. There were large clumps of hair in the hallway right outside of our room. The floor in my room was slippery while wearing tennis shoes, similar to how it feels working in the back of a greasy fast food restaurant. The staff said it is the wax they use. I hope so, but I didn't like it at all. The breakfast had waffles and yogurt. Nothing else. Not even jam for break or peanut butter for some protein. We ended up buying microwavable sandwiches from Walmart. Our bed didn't have a blanket on it, only a sheet, and the paper thin bedspread. We stayed 3 nights so I asked that the bed be made with a blanket - it wasn't done. The staff when I checked in was on a personal call with her friend, and every morning when I needed to talk to a staff, there wasn't anyone to be found. One morning I waited 30 minutes to talk to someone.
