Less than a 5-minute walk to the French Quarter, The Alexandre is located in the energetic, and exciting Central Business District or known to locals as “The CBD”.

The CBD has it all from award-winning restaurants, and the finest bars, and nightclubs to art galleries and event venues.

In addition to the skyscrapers, you can find popular destinations like the French Quarter, Bourbon ST, Mercedes Benz Superdome, the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, The National WW2 Museum, and Harrah’s Casino, all less than a mile away from our front doors.

The Alexandre`s location really is the best in the City of New Orleans!

The Street Car is our form of public transportation and is also known as a `trolly`. The nearest Street Car stop is located a block away on the iconic St. Charles Ave and it costs $1.25 per person. You can also purchase a 24-hour pass for $3.00. Please have exact change if possible.

Blue bikes are available throughout the city. If you are looking to rent a bike we recommend downloading the Blue Bike app.

Uber and Lyft are always available and usually very affordable with minimal waiting time.

PARKING
Due to its location in the heart of the city, we do not have onsite parking of our own. There is metered parking with 2 hour limit between 7 AM and 7 PM, and it`s first come first serve. Overnight street parking is free and has no limitation between 7 PM and 7 AM. It`s essential to pay attention to street signage to identify the areas where parking is allowed.

There are also 12 parking lots/garages throughout the Central Business District area. Most of the garages and lots are operated by Premium Parking. To locate the best parking option for you we recommend you download the Premium Parking app.

EARLY CHECK-IN AND LATE CHECK-OUT
It may be possible to arrange an early check-in or late check-out for an additional fee, but this depends on availability and cannot be guaranteed. However, we offer complimentary luggage storage for our guests to utilize.

PARKING
We do not have onsite parking due to our central location in the city. However, there are several options available for parking:

1- Metered parking is available with a 2-hour limit between 7 AM and 7 PM, and overnight street parking is free with no limitations between 7 PM and 7 AM. Please keep in mind of street signs to make sure you are parking in allowed areas.

2- If you prefer a parking lot or garage, there are 12 options available throughout the Central Business District area. Many of these are operated by Premium Parking, and we recommend downloading their app to find the best parking option for you.

HISTORIC BUILDING
Welcome to the Alexandre Building, a unique and historic location with a rich history dating back to the early 1800s. Over the years, it has served as a newspaper manufacturing plant and the original headquarters of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundations. We have taken great care to preserve the building`s historical value during its complete renovation, making it an exceptional space that we hope you will appreciate.

It`s important to note that certain parts of the building require extra care due to their age and significance. Your unit`s original windows, front door, and brick walls have been carefully maintained. While the brick has been painted to minimize dust, please be mindful that it may still fall if the walls are touched. Additionally, as with all old windows, some outside street noise may be audible through the sealed-shut windows. The door may also feel heavy and stiff sometimes, but it simply needs a little extra care.

Smoking

No smoking is permitted inside the unit. Triggering a fire alarm due to smoking may result in a minimum $300 cleaning fee and $1,000 fire department response fee.



Respect & Conduct

Guests are responsible for their behavior and the behavior of their party. Disruptive or illegal behavior may result in eviction without refund.



Quiet Hours & Noise Monitoring

Quiet hours are 10:00 PM – 9:00 AM. Noise monitoring devices are installed to enforce quiet hours and detect unauthorized parties. Tampering, disabling, or removing devices is prohibited and may result in fines or eviction.



Private & Locked Areas

Certain areas of the building, including supply closets and first-floor businesses, are marked private or locked. Guests are strictly prohibited from accessing these areas. Any damage, vandalism, or removal of property from these areas will be treated as theft or property damage and may result in charges and law enforcement involvement.



Personal Belongings

Guests are responsible for their personal property. The host is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.



Parties & Social Gatherings

Unauthorized parties or gatherings exceeding the number of registered guests are prohibited. Violations may result in fines, eviction, and/or reporting to authorities.



Authorized Guests Only

Only registered guests listed on the booking may access the unit. Sharing access codes or keys is prohibited.



Damage & Missing Items

Guests are financially responsible for all damage or missing items, including furniture, linens, kitchenware, glassware, electronics, walls, doors, windows, or other structural or personal property. Charges will be assessed following inspection and may be deducted from the security deposit or billed directly.



Cleaning Fees

Excessively soiled units or linens may incur additional cleaning fees.



Firearms & Weapons

Possession of firearms, weapons, or explosives on the property is strictly prohibited.



Enforcement

Violations of these rules may result in fines, charges, eviction without refund, and/or involvement of law enforcement.
