We had a wonderful week at Kenmure Kennels walking the trails, gathering around the table and enjoying the cosy fire. The house is well equipped for a group and feels like a loving home, not a characterless rental.

One of those faded old mansions converted into a hotel. It was good, but spending £5m on it would make it great.

Staff were amazing, the hotel could do with a freshen up in the corridors but when things were wrong in the room the staff were dead helpful. Nice area too.
