Truly a wonderful place! It’s rustic & has a few quirks but it’s very clean & comfortable. Nicely decorated. The game table is amazing! And the view is dynamite!We had a little trouble finding the house as google maps took us to the wrong place but Apple Maps is supposed to be better. This place is a gem. It’s in the country so be prepared for all that entails. All in all absolutely lovely! And the manager Katherine is great too!

Even in winter, this home offers enjoyable family together time. The pool/air hockey/ping pong table was more than perfect and the living areas provided ample space for spreading out. Seeing deer along the hillside was a special bonus. We'll be staying here again!

Great views of the lake and wooded CT countryside. The kitchen has everything needed for preparing meals. The pool/ game table provided fun entertainment throughout our stay. Comfortable accommodations. It was also very easy to communicate with the hosts of this property, they always got back to us quickly when we had questions.

The host was very nice and responsive. The house was also beautiful. The only issue I noticed was that there were quite a few ladybugs in the third-floor room. Someone came by the next morning to spray pesticides, which helped reduce them, though there were still a fair number left.

The property was beautiful, clean, and had everything you could possibly need and more. It was close to restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops. There was also plenty of hiking trails nearby. Katherine answered all of my questions quickly.

I stayed here for three nights with my elderly mom. The home is lovely and very comfortable, with lovely linens, updated bathrooms, and luxurious beds. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped for anything you might want to prepare. This would be an excellent spot for a family with children. The hosts were very responsive and gracious. Above all else, the view is absolutely spectacular. I wish i could wake up to it every day. I hope to go back in the fall when the leaves are changing. Highly recommend!

Only thing that was a challenge was carrying the kayaks down the hill and across the street. Living room was a bit hot due to no air conditioner. Host was extremely nice and accomodating and the place was well kept.

5 nights on Squantz Pond

The inside of the house was very nice and it was clean with all the utensils and things you would need in the kitchen to make yourself a good meal. The inside of the house met our needs, and we enjoyed our time inside. The Property Manager was responsive to our concerns about the front step that had a loose piece of slate and was fixed the next day. Also three broken outdoor chairs were replaced the next day. The kayaks being stored up by the houses made it difficult to use them due to the steep slope and inadequate staircase leading to the water. The kayak gear was down by the water, but it looked like a trash heap. The outside seems to be neglected. The landscaping and stairway to the water had bushes over the railing, which lead to a beautiful dock. These would be easy fixes and inexpensive to remedy. A little TLC would make it much easier to enjoy this beautiful setting.

Water equipment shed fell apart leaving life vests & oars out in the open and looked like a trash pile.
The dock itself was beautiful and well designed.

Amazing Boys Weekend

Four of us celebrating having or soon to turn 40. House was amazing - I understand some of the comments about the steep hill down to the water, but that did not stop us (use the driveway, don't go down the grass!). Communication with the host was fantastic, the house was in great shape, and there are plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. nearby. We all agreed it's one of the best houses that we've rented.

Girls weekend

The house was clean and nicely decorated. Had lots of things to do inside and out. Was slightly disappointed that the lake wasn’t closer. when looking on the pictures we didn’t notice that there was a main street between the house and the lake. It wasn’t easy for for some of the guests who get down the steep hill from the house to the street and then another sleep hill to the lake. As long as you know that going into the rental, you’ll be fine.

Nice family stay

The house and view of the the lake where beautiful, we went in early spring. There was a lot of games and activities to do in the house the kayaking was nice and everything you needed was included in the house and was very pet friendly. That all being said there was a surprisingly amount of ants for this time of year inside the house, it didn't bother us too much but I can imagine it could be a problem for someone else. The washing machine also wasn't working, additionally note that the house is on an extremely steep hill so getting that kayaks back up was a challenge to say the least it turned into a whole family full body work out. All that being said would 100% come back we had a great Time. All
