"My husband and I had a great stay at the Hoothaus. Great location with easy access to mountain biking and running trails. Close to the lake and to downtown Nevada City, yet still quiet and peaceful. The hosts were very communicative and helpful in suggesting local activities. Space was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed! Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area. "

"A group of ER nurses and firefighters on a short 2 night getaway with a day trip to a secret swim hole. This VRBO was beautiful and the outdoor areas were equally as beautiful. Hostess was great. All loved this VRBO. "

"Great place to crash if you're visiting the river, 10 minutes from Oregon Creek Park, which is an awesome spot to hit with kids. Pretty sparse surroundings and it's deep in the woods, so it's remote and private. Space itself is set up for 2 people, if you bring more people (wouldn't recommend more than 2 adults, 2 kids) you should bring an air mattress and your own bedding. "We had a wonderful anniversary here. We stayed a week. Wonderful weather, pool, house, location. Couldn't have asked for better. We will try to come back from Oregon. Felt safe and comfortable. Great host as well. Awesome communication "

"The owner never contacted us with check in information. We tried getting ahold of the owner 3 days before our arrival and we never got a response. VRBO was no help! We are waiting for a refund as we didn’t have access to the property. This has been an extremely frustrating experience. Do not book this house!"
