The property is well situated to amenities. The grocery store is less than a block away and the “main strip” is also walkable. While you can walk to the beach, driving the vehicle isn’t ridiculous as you can haul the important things like coolers and tents. The property provides beach chairs and a wagon, so maybe don’t waste space in your car hauling up your own stuff. Balconies are in heavy rotation and so usable. We didn’t use the grill, but would do so next time…the local restaurants were great and we ended up sampling a few of them (*cough*beer church). We did have a little trouble finding the place when we drove in but that might have been user error. Property managers were so responsive with any questions and we really enjoyed our time. Other vacationers on the property were also super nice. Don’t sleep on the shared pool and hot tub…it’s a great experience for the littles. The only adjustment we’d make is the bed in the primary BR…there is enough room for a king mattress and the current bed could use an upgrade… it a deal breaker but…
Overall, what an awesome way to spend a few days with the family, catch some waves and sunsets and enjoy the last days of summer on the shore. Quick enough drive from Chicago and the surrounding suburbs to just disengage and recharge.
Great property overall!
