Place was really nice, and location great. We could walk to everything. Check in so easy. We could not find the remote to the TV and therefore could not use it but manager was quick to try to correct the situation and dropped off a new one within an hour. When we were looking for the remote, noticed underneath the couch was filthy but everything else very clean. Highly recommend this place.

Overall the stay was good with a well laid out house and excellent pool. There are two problems. The door from the living room to the backyard does not lock. There is evidence of black mold in the primary bedroom, the one above the dining are. Revommend testing the entire house for mold.

Overall great stay at Castaway Villas. Some features exceeded my expectations. The pool is amazing; the one picture they have in the listing does not do the outside area justice. The location is wonderful, 5 minute walk to the main strip and just a block away from Oinks. The living room and dining room were very spacious and comfortable to gather with large groups. The guest house has a full kitchen and sitting area which was a very nice surprise. Freshwater staff were very responsive and helped us with the issues we had during our stay.I can't give 5 stars due to the bedroom situation. This is an old home with a bad rehab job. The loft area that has 4 twin beds is unlivable, and this should not be advertised as a room where anyone can sleep in the summer or winter. The room is clearly not insulated, and even with an air conditioner unit and fan running the entire week, it was well over 90 degrees up there the whole time. The king bed in the guest house is also very broken. I reached out to the rental staff concerned the bed was going to literally crash onto the floor, and they said they had never had anyone complain about it before...the maintenance man who came to fix it said otherwise and that it would keep breaking if they don't replace it. So with 10 beds advertised in the house, we had 5 that were usable during our stay. We ended up leaving a day early due to lack of sleep. Still had a great time, they just need to spend some money to fix the major issues.

Great place for a friends gathering

This home is beautiful and very roomy for a large group. Great location and only a couple blocks from the main drag near many restaurants and shops and not far from the beach. It was a little chilly during our stay so we didn't get to use the outdoor area, but it was also a wonderful space.

Birthday Getaway

It was a perfect stay for a long weekend birthday celebration. Plenty of room for our large groupof couples, walking distance to amazing shops and restaurants. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone!

Construction surprises

This house is going through construction and we were completely unaware. There was nails and screws all throughout the pea gravel in the backyard. We found a few the first night we were there and brushed it off. Third day we spent a ton of time in the backyard and noticed sooo many nails and screws. I’m talking at least 30! Me and a few members of my family spent 2 hours of our time searching over the pea gravel to pick up all the nails and screws from the new addition that was being built. We had 6 small kids and thank god none of them managed to step on a nail. We also looked through some of the turf and found a few of the hooks that keep the turf down and they were sticking right out. Those hooks are at least 9inches long. Property management company was easy to get ahold of and said they weren’t aware of any construction. Other things to be aware of is the king bed in the guest house does not have a box spring and you can feel every bar in your back while laying on it. We found a dirty bowl and pan in the kitchen. The bowl still had Chex mix in it. I would say I definitely won’t be returning to this house.

New Buffalo Getaway

House was perfect for 9 adults. Plenty of space and bedrooms. Location was fantastic. Very quiet neighborhood. Close to the places we wanted to go to. Easy walking distance to excellent restaurants and bars. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

perfect beach week

we enjoyed a week here with extended family - three generations. The space was very functional and even exceeded my expectations based on the listing. The location could not be better in New Buffalo - close to the beach and close to the main street and restaurants - we walked everywhere easily. The pool and grounds are great for a big family and for celebrations. Management was very responsive and nice, quickly resolved any minor issues we encountered.

Large house with coach house and in ground pool. Ideal fit our large family and young grandchildren. Short walk to everything. Host very responsive when we experienced a few minor issues after check in.

Castaway Stay - New Buffalo

One of the best beach houses we stayed at. Everyone enjoyed it and already said they want to go back. Beautiful and fun home located near downtown and the beach. Highly recommend.

Excellent home and location

This was a large home, adequate for 12 ~14. House was very clean, well furnished and tastefully decorated. Great back yard with large pool and hot tub. Excellent location with proximity to beach and restaurants. Very peaceful area. Host was highly responsive. Our family very much enjoyed the stay.
