We absolutely loved our stay at this secluded log cabin!It was the perfect peaceful escape from everyday life. Surrounded by nature and beautifully maintained, it offered just the right mix of rustic charm and cozy comfort.

Amazing Birthday Getaway

We have a wonderful time at the Old Glory Ranch! Everything was so beautiful, very peaceful and secluded. The cabin is exquisitely decorated and clean, and the surroundings are breathtaking. Looking forward to returning anytime soon!

Very beautiful and secluded cabin

We loved the seclusion of the cabin, but it was quite the journey to get to it from the entrance of the ranch. You really need a high vehicle to get through the bumpy gravel road and to cross the river at one point. I wouldn't try it in the rain! But once you get to the cabin, it is beautiful. The owner has done a great job of using the space and decorating it with hints of the old west. The view is amazing and we definitely enjoyed the peace and quiet.

So close to the amazing town of Wimberly and so very far away from everything. It was the perfect getaway and we will do it again and for much longer next time.

Rustic and quiet

Super authentic cabin in a private and picturesque location. We really enjoyed all the Texan and patriotic decor inside the old glory cabin! The collection is pretty impressive.. and all the things you need to cook indoors or out are readily available. The access to the river was also nice. Peaceful. Suzanne was welcoming and helpful upon arrival. My one concern was accessibility since it’s noted you need an SUV or truck for this property.. we were able to drive a Ford Escape with no issue.. it’s a little bumpy up hill and a low area to cross river but nothing you can’t deal with..

Weekend Getaway

My husband and I wanted a quiet getaway to just slow down and relax. This was the perfect place! The cabin was so comfortable and had everything we needed. We sipped coffee on the front porch, went on nature walks, and relaxed in the river. It was just what we needed, and we can't wait to visit again!

Staycation getaway

I live in Austin and wanted an easy getaway with access to a river to enjoy our hot days here in August. The cabin fully delivered with private river access and lots of charm and seclusion. It was a beautiful getaway but very close to town. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my stay.

Serene and Relaxing

This home is beautiful and very comfortable! All basics are provided. Great horseshoe set off to the side of the home as well as a nice picnic area to oversee the valley below. The drive up to the cabin is a challenge - you must have an SUV or truck to drive up to the top where the cabin is located. We loved driving down to the river access - it was our own private paradise of fishing and floating in the river.

Better than 5 stars

I wish I could give this property more than 5 stars. It was perfection. My husband and I had our wedding at Old Glory Ranch and our honeymoon at this cabin. We did not want to leave. It was incredibly clean and perfectly cozy. It had every amenity you could want. It was so incredibly quiet, safe, and beautiful inside and outside. Suzanne was spectacular and helped with our every need. If you are looking for the perfect quiet getaway in a cozy historic cabin with proximity to town and beautiful views, this cabin is for you.

Great Home in Secluded Area

This was a wonderfully appointed cabin, with everything we needed! Beds and living room furnishings were very comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped. Very secluded and private. Upon arrival on the property, the owner greeted me and gave me an overview. As stated in the listing, one is required to drive through the river (water was low) and up a quite challenging road, but the cabin made the journey worth it!

We loved this little cabin!

We loved our stay at this little cabin in the woods! It was quite an adventure just driving from the gate to the cabin and was complete with deer sightings and crossing the little Branco river. The cabin has been beautifully decorated down to the last detail. We hope to visit again some time!
