Great spot for floating and close to Whitewater

Rio Guadalupe Condominiums are a fun little spot right on the river. It's perfect for enjoying the Guad and very close to the amphitheater. The condo is spacious and they make it easy by providing tubes. A great way to enjoy the water and a show.

Anniversary visit

Great place to relax

My family and I needed a little get away, and this condo on the Guadalupe did the trick. The condo was nice and cozy, and the view was lovely. Everyone who was on the property followed the rules and pretty much kept to themselves. The river is right there and is perfect for fishing, swimming, kayaking, or just a place to sit by and meditate. Very serene. Soooo, I only have a few complaints that are not deal breakers. 1. The beds and pillows were not comfy. If you love a firm mattress, you’re in luck! The bed in the master was so loud. Every time one of us rolled over my kids in the other room could here it. Lol! 2. As lovely as the patio is, there is no privacy. The way the condos are designed makes it so you can see and hear everything from the patios on each side of you. Unless you’re familiar with the people in the condos adjacent to yours, it can be a bit awkward. 3. This one may not matter to most people, but it’s one of the first things I notice…the baseboards in the master and master bath were filthy. I know, it’s a bit silly, but hopefully the crew that goes in and cleans can take a few extra minutes and run the broom, vacuum, or mop over the baseboards each time they clean. So would I come back again? Absolutely! Would I recommend it to a good friend…Absolutely! The fact that were able to relax and not have to deal with the stressors we would deal with at home made the stay well worth it…despite my goofy complaints.

Great River Spot

We had a great time on the river. The Happy Cow Condo was well appointed and very clean. The river was right there, beautiful, and a blast. There was wild water fowl and deer to see too. It had was a perfect place to tube with little ones, we could tube from the condo, down to a ramp a sort distance away, and walk back. The kids had fun at the pool too, which was clean and had a bathroom. The property is noisy though. While everyone was respectful of quiet hours, non-quiet hours can be noisier than ideal if you are looking for some solitude away at the river. Its a great way to make new vacation friends though.

Nice condo on the river, but...

Spacious 2 br/2ba condo right on the Guadalupe River. For the price we paid for 2 days it was apparent that direct river access was where the majority of our expense went to. Nice large patio area but the furniture has seen better days as the cushions are worn, stained. Upon arrival we unpacked and stepped out into the grass off the patio and we’re immediately eaten up by fire ants. There were visible mounds that were untreated. We did contact the management office and they immediately addressed it. The kitchen is nice with granite countertops, a side by side refrigerator, plenty of utensils, plates, etc. The sink is large and divided into two separate sinks. However, In the smaller sink it seemed the drain strainer was either intentionally or unintentionally stuck in place so Whatever water and debris there was stood in the sink for hours until it slowly drained. That was not fun to mess with or see while preparing food. Lastly the mattresses were almost unbearable. Noisy and uncomfortable especially in the room with two beds. Our friends lived close so they drove back home to get their blowup mattress for the second night. Overall it was a fun stay but for the price I would expect a bit more “pros” and less “cons”.

Great Stay

Our family stays on the Guadalupe every summer and we’ve looked at these condos several times, but this was our first time to stay. Location was amazing with a great view of the river. The property was nice and quiet, good for families, and the condo itself was well decorated and maintained. Our only constructive feedback would be the beds. Though they were comfortable, they were all VERY squeaky, and we would wake ourselves up, or our roommate, with every turn during the night. That said, we loved our stay, and would stay here again!

Amazing

This condo was perfect! Such beautiful decor. The location was awesome, the river was low so we could just put our chair out in the water and enjoy the beauty of the river, the cliff and the sunshine. The condo had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It was clean and all the neighbors were so nice. I would recommend this condo to anyone and we can not wait to stay here again!

Weekend River Trip

Perfect for my family. My boys were able to fish in the morning and the evening while we cooked breakfast and dinner since the condo was so close to the river. We were able to float the horseshoe and come back for lunch and then hang out at the river afterwards to just relax. There was plenty to do close to the condo also. Will definitely return!

We absolutely loved staying at the beautiful Happy Cow condo! We loved the location, the decor, and the over all relaxing feel. We had everything we needed for cooking and and tubing. The one downfall was having to drive an hour out of the way to check in because we drove in from Marble Falls rather than I35. My family and I travel to that area frequently and I would love to stay their again. Thank you so much for sharing it with others.
