Great location

We had a wonderful time! This home was spacious and a beautiful backyard view of the river! The check in/out process was easy. We would definitely stay here again.

Short weekend to meet our soldier!

This was a fantastic meeting ground for us to meet our soldier halfway! The property was close to everything but also yet secluded enough for us to get the much-needed family time. Everyone had their space to relax, but also had great gathering spaces for us to play games hang out by the lake, fish and to catch fireflies. Core memories were made, and these were fantastic accommodations for our short time together.

This was a 10 star place for us to stay!! The accommodations were awesome and we enjoyed the house and the river so much! I definitely recommend staying there if you're getting a good group of friends together for a nice getaway! 👍

Check in was smooth had no issues, kitchen utensils were dirty and drawer were dirty (found a hair in it). Toilet on main floor ran continuously.

3 Generation Family Vacay

We had a Fischer park day, a Schlitterbahn day, and a tube the Guadalupe river day. We also enjoyed evening swims in the river jumping off the boat dock. We grilled dinner one night. Location and house were perfect for our group of 7. 3 kids, 2 adults and 2 Srs.

Pecan shores retreat ❤️

This property was just perfect. The house plan is open and spacious. The home is cozy and comfortable. Everything was clean and well taken care of. I met the owner because he was wrapping pipes for the upcoming freeze that was about to take place. He was very kind and welcoming. The outside area is great and we even used the fire pit for s'mores. I would highly suggest this property!

The home was on a great location on the river! We all enjoyed the dock and floating out back, as well as close proximity to the Comal to float. Overall, the home just needs to be updated and some amenities upgraded. The consistent word among myself and friends was that the beds were all hard and/or uncomfortable. Also, time to pull up the carpet and put in something that can be sanitized easier. The house was plenty big, loved the big kitchen and table with plenty of seating. Just needs some TLC and updating.

Awesome place to stay!!

This beautiful property was just perfect for our family of nine! The living spaces are so pretty and spacious. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with all of the basics and many extras as well. The kitchen table is quite large so that we could all sit together for meals. We enjoyed playing Uno with the cards provided on the table. We cooked burgers on the grill. We loved being able to play outdoor games in the beautifully shaded and massive back yard! We loved swimming in the lake by jumping off the dock at the end of that massive back yard! The bedrooms were just perfect for our family and the bathrooms were very nice. This property is clean, quiet and just a short drive from all of the attractions in the area!! We highly recommend Pecan Shores for your vacation stay!!

Family Vacation

This home was nice. The location was peaceful, yet close to town and attractions. We enjoyed using our kayaks & tubes from the boat dock. It was nice to have a dishwasher, laundry facilities available and linens provided. The mattresses could use upgrades and the sheets would not stay on the king size bed. The water heater did not provide adequate hot water for our family of 8. Several of us had to take cool showers in the downstairs bath and the faucet temperature adjustment was somewhat temperamental. I probably just missed it, but I do not recall the website description noting that this was a two-story accommodation. It worked for this trip!

Family Trip

The home was nice, the property was not maintained. My sister and I were walking down to the pier and both of us got cuts from branches even with shoes on. The deck was nice but after getting into the water there wasn’t a ladder to help get out. I understand that this home stated no pets, but I felt it was unnecessary when my daughter and fiance showed to hang out, she brought her 2 little dachshunds I received a phone call almost n a threatening manner for them to vacate immediately! Which they did but the first day of my only vacation was very upsetting.

Girls trip

We really enjoyed this property! We had 10 girls on a weekend trip and it was the best to hold all of us comfortably! Pros: Huge kitchen and had most everything you needed! Huge yard space with dock! Fabulous shaded porch, perfect for hanging out Quiet location- still close to things but not in the heart of town Very good communication from the hosts. They even sent someone out to empty the big trash cans from the people before us Cons: There are very minimal extra bedding items- in particular, blankets The door handles on the back door don't latch well. The deadbolt does, but the handles need some work There were only 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. We actually ended up having to buy our own to make it all weekend The hot water is not fabulous downstairs. Have about enough for whoever gets that first shower We had an amazing weekend and would come back! Thanks for having us!

Pelos de perro en el sofá

La limpieza no fue buena llegando el domingo parecía que recién habían dejado la casa pues no están 100% limpia y había pelos de perro en el sillón de la sala a pesar de que era una propiedad donde no se aceptan mascotas .... La propietaria contestó a tiempo pero no solucionó nada en concerted solo dijo que no sabía qué pasó y le mencioné que si cobran por la limpieza entonces que con eso ella solo dijo que ya se había cobrado en medio de esta pandemia deberían asegurarse que la limpieza se haga bien ! Bonita propiedad buena jubilación podrían mejorar .... la limpieza

We enjoyed our stay in this roomy home. The home needs some updating especially in the upstairs restroom. This home provided a nice amount of space for our large family. Location to New Brunfels attractions is good.

Family Trip

The location and overall layout of the home was perfect! The washer and dryer worked good! The biggest issue was the plumbing. We did call the first night although I did not hear back. The master bath shower never got even warm,(cold showers each night) had nothing to do with upstairs or other shower) the commode was very slow. The kitchen cold side of faucet does not work well. We also had ants in the master bath. Things need to be tightened and checked. It would have been great if they spent some time on the deck making it ready for guests. It was worn and dirty. We could not sit and enjoy it. There were also cut down branches of trees in the middle of the yard. The cleaning crew needs to do a deep clean in the home. Overall, these few things would make it a great place to come back to. Thank you!
