Unclean home - I wouldn’t recommend staying

The location of the property is in a convenient, being close to town but the property and home is very unkept and dirty. The pictures on the listing is nothing like the home itself. Most of the doors do not open more than halfway, the beds are very uncomfortable and the house itself appeared to not have been cleaned. The river access is okay if you plan on sitting on the patio but not if you have children who want to play in the water.

Awesome property!

Amazing location right on the river! Really enjoyed that we could just walk out the house and right down to the river to hang out. Also loved that the kids could tube down the river and exit right in the backyard. House was very clean and looked recently updated. Was very surprised by how well stocked the house was. I have gotten used to taking all of my own cooking utensils and pots/pans when staying at rental properties because it can be really hit or miss with what the house has, but this house had EVERYTHING! Overall everyone in our group loved this house and we are already anticipating our stay here next year!

We enjoyed our stay. This property is really beautiful and the house is nice. We stayed at the end of the season. There were a few things that needed to be fixed in the restroom that I chalk up to our timing. The house is really nice and the area is good and not too busy. The communication with the owner was fabulous and timely. I recommend a stay here and I appreciate the openness of the owner to add an extra day at the last minute.

Backyard is the best part

House is okay, there was roaches and the first floor room was freezing cold while the rest of house was warm. The backyard (river) was the best part. You have to share the backyard concrete patio with the neighbors, which they do not mention until your reserve. Hallway in home is narrow and is not suitable for bigger people. We would not rent this house again.

We very much enjoyed our visit!

I'll start by saying our vacation here was great! I didn't receive my check in instructions right away but NBE worked with me to resolve quickly. There was one issue with two TVs requiring a PIN that we nor NBE could figure out, and they issued a partial refund without me asking nor expecting. There is plenty of room, the beds are comfortable but mattresses on a couple of the beds "dip" in the center and likely should be replaced soon. We slept really well regardless! The property was clean, instructions were comprehensive and easy to follow. The garage door control is INSIDE the house when entering from the garage and I never thought to look there so it took a hot minute to find it. It can also be opened and closed from a keypad outside the garage. We've stayed in rentals that were better appointed than River Haus, but also some that were worse. This rental is a great riverfront location for getting into and out of the water. It sits right at a high traffic area, right next to the bridge where there is a lot of traffic, across the street from a tube rental and next to a tube launch, so if we had stayed during high season, we likely would have not had as good a time. There were plenty of towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, kitchen rags and towels, and pot holders. I do have some suggestions that may improve the stay for future guests. There were only 5 dinner forks, but a ton of spoons, butter knives and desert size forks, and only 1 spatula for cooking (not counting 2 decorative - flower shaped - ones that weren't very functional). There were also only 5 steak knives (we tend to cook a lot when we rent) and I always think it's good to have a really good kitchen knife, which there was one. Although we realize it's not required, most rentals we've stayed in have had at least some spices, salt and pepper, etc, that were either provided by the host or left behind by previous renters. I had planned to buy food at the market but it didn't occur to me there wouldn't be even salt and pepper, so we had to go out the next day to the market again. We left the salt and pepper there for future guests :-) We give this property high marks overall, especially to the management company who were very responsive to any message or email I sent. We had a great time and the few things we thought could have been better were not critical things. We had a very relaxing stay, visited Canyon Lake dam and area, and it was a great rental experience.

Lots of fun!!

We came to have a little getaway and play in the river!!! It was perfect for just that!!! The kids loved the river and at night loved the foosball /pool table. Would stay here again in a heart beat!!!
