Cozy getaway

This property is in a great location for tubing and the water park. The property was very clean and check-in and out process was really easy. We also like the policy of free early check-in once the unit was ready.

Great Getaway

The condo was exactly what we hoped for. Everything was clean and ready for us to enjoy. The bed was so comfortable it was like sleeping on a cloud. We look forward to staying here again.

Wurstfest Weekend

This is our second year staying at Waterwheel for Wurstfest. The condo is comfortable, clean, and meets our needs perfectly! We felt safe entering, exiting, and using the amenities. Security is present on the grounds, and while things are lively in the pools during the day, nighttime is quiet and peaceful. The condo was nicely decorated, and the host included lots of info on things to do around town during our stay. We didn’t use the provided tubes this trip, but did walk down to the river and it is very nice and calm in this section. We talked about going back this summer to enjoy the river. The host was great about reaching out with check in info prior to our stay and we had no issues. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful stay!

The property is very clean, and well kept. The unit we stayed in was updated and very nice, and we loved the quick walk down to the Guadalupe river. We'll definitely book with River City again. Thanks!

Lots of Amenities

The condo was nice, neighbors next to us were horrible, noisey all hours of night, and people taking ypon themselves to have pool.party for themselves and ALOT of guests so many that guests would leave bigger pool to be able to enjoy tthethe water. Theywater

Family fun

Seriously close to EVERYTHING. You can float 2 plus hrs with a 10 minute walk from the condo. Very clean and well run property. Only negative thing I can say is the walls are a bit thin. So be mentally prepared for early morning noise. You could also hear the toilets flush from upstairs... kinda loud. All in all it was fun and $ was not over costly.

Do it!

Great place to relax. Just my wife and I stayed for a few days. There were plenty of places to eat, shop, grab coffee, etc. Great location. Steps to the pool, and a few more to the river. I should have brought a fishing pole, but I will next time.

Fantastic!!

This was the clearest condo I have ever stayed in. Everything was immaculate including the grounds, pools, and hot tubs. This condo is centrally located near everything and made getting around so easy. Thank you for a wonderful and stress free stay!

Comfortable and Convenient

The place was comfortable and clean. Very close to several recreation spots and restaurants. The property is excellent with multiple pools and hot tubs and river access. This particular unit is not very private which is fine if you are there for activity. We’ve come out of a stressful season and wanted a place to just sit and rest so I was a little disappointed in the fact that the balcony is open and right by the walkway and staircase…not quiet and not private. Also the quiet hours are 11 pm - 7 am and the noise started at 7:01 am every day. Again fine if you are going to be up and going but since we were wanting more of a quiet trip it was a little disappointing. Not at all worth taking a star off. That was my fault for not doing more research. Overall this is a wonderful place and we would definitely come back for an “active” trip.

Overall an Amazing Place to Stay ❤️

My husband and I stayed here for our baby moon. We absolutely loved the location and the place overall.It was peaceful and quiet. The only problem we encounter is getting kicked out of the pool by security because our place did not have any wrist band for us. We were upset because we read on the instructions that these were supposed to be in our room. Overall I would rate this place a 4 out of 5 simply because we were able to call management and they were able to provide us with wristband. We will for sure be back.

Great place to stay in New Braunfels

The condo was exactly as pictured and described. The management company was very responsive after hours. Cleanliness was outstanding. The furnishings, kitchen ware, linens, etc were nice and there was a satisfactory quantity of each. Proximity to the pools and river are excellent. This is a really nice property for a small group.

Hidden gem with a few hiccups

The location can't be beat for the price, and the grounds are beautiful, with private Guadalupe River access. The management company left a bit to be desired. We had to call to request linens for the sofa bed. They were delivered an hour later, which was reasonable, but after the housekeeper left we discovered that we only had two sets of towels for four people/three nights. Rather than call back, we just made it work. On our second night, the fire alarms in the building went off at 4:30 am. Since the only number we had was the Vacasa "24/7 service" number, we called them along with the fire department. Unfortunately, Vacasa never called back to check on us. Given the quality of the property and the length of our stay, that was disappointing. I suspect the property owners would not be pleased to hear that their management company just ignored that situation. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.
