Weekend getaway

This was our second time staying at the Creekside Cottage. It is a cozy place, well equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The location is great, close to downtown Nevada City and walking trails. Great for couples who want privacy and quiet.

Excellent little nook in the woods

This property was one of those memorable properties that we always hope that we get when we see the pictures and read the information. It’s just as it said. Totally set up very comfortable rooms and supplied with every creature comfort. The little porches of extra bonus. They were a full when we reached out, but the extra bed in the living room was not obvious nor in any of the materials, but the coffee table doubles as the second bed. I’m not a huge fan of soft beds and the one in the main bedroom was pretty soft. I’m sure some people find that very cozy but I’m a firm bed person. That was easily repaired with the pullout bed. There were no directions on how to pull it out and we are both pretty handy. You might ask them if you need it. I didn’t see it in the info book, but it was quite comfortable. The hosts were lovely too leave us a bottle of wine and little treats and it was so cozy for our little getaway and a family gathering. We would absolutely return. It’s a lucky find.

It was pretty much as it was advertised no issues at all other than maybe the TV was a little hard to navigate through and I think the back door didn't have a lock on it other than that it was superb

Very cute small cottage. Great for a couple or a single person trying to get away. Has a nice back porch. You can take a lil trail and walk 15 min into town. You can drive to the river in like 20 min.

A Walker’s Paradise

Walk out the door and turn right and you can walk a ¼ mile to the Deer Creek Tribute Trail, a lovely hike. Turn left out the door and you are an easy ½ mile walk from downtown Nevada City and all its restaurants and stores. I stayed for a week and walked everywhere, never moving my car. The property is cute, clean and comfortable. The screened porch is a peaceful spot to unwind, though I was here at the wrong time of year to enjoy it properly. I hope to be back in the spring. Betsy is a wonderful host. She has obviously put a lot of thought into her guest’s needs. I highly recommend this property.

Cute cottage in the woods

This is the perfect place to stay near Nevada city. You feel like you are out in the woods, but you are actually close to town and the hiking trails. The cottage was very cozy and extremely well equipped. The owners were very responsive to our requests. The place is perfect for a couple and we hope to return again soon.

Sweet little getaway

The screened back porch was a lovely place to hang out and listen to the creek after a day of hiking. Everything is very comfortable: the bed, the couch and the porch chairs.

Relaxing & Comfortable Cottage

This is our 2nd time to stay there. This time we were able to sit on the screened-in back porch which we truly enjoyed all day. The bed is comfortable and we ate out both nights, Friar Tucks and Brew Haus, highly recommend both. We will return again because it is truly a relaxing getaway. Thank you to the wonderful hosts!!!!

Location Location Location

Super cute cottage that felt secluded and off the beaten path (but just a 15 min walk to Nevada City downtown). Love that the cottage included a full kitchen rather than a kitchenette. The back patio is a great hangout space that has that indoor/outdoor feel! We had a gorgeous day at the Yuba River bookended with dinner at The National and the Holbrooke Hotel. Lovely stay!

Amazing cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very cute and well appointed. Everything you could need is there. It is great to be able to walk to town rather than having to get in the car to go everywhere. We loved having morning coffee on the screened in porch and listening to the birds. We are already planning our next stay.
