    The Space:

    Time on the Oregon Coast has a way of inspiring relaxation and calm in a way that few other places can. Bring your friends and family together to make some memories in this house, which offers entertainment and easy access to Pacific waves and sand. Recently, the home has received all new carpeting throughout along with new floor covering in two of the baths. The living room has been updated with new sofas and a 50-inch flatscreen TV. The kitchen features all new cookware, silverware, and coffee maker. As of 2019, the home has received all new roofing, siding, and decks. Interior and exteriors have been fully repainted.



    Located in sleepy Neskowin just a short five-min walk from the beach, you'll fall into a different rhythm here away from all the distractions of your busy life. There's nothing separating you from the picturesque coast except nature and a peaceful walk. Bring your clubs to play on the Neskowin Beach Golf Course and bring the beach toys for the kids to have a fun day by the water.



    If the weather doesn't cooperate, you can still have a great time indoors! Play Ping-Pong in the bonus room, spark up the wood fireplace and have a movie marathon on the flatscreen TV with your favorite DVDs. A fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to cook delicious meals for the whole group, and the open layout means the conversations never have to stop. Buy some fresh fish and veggies to cook on the gas grill. If you see the sun peek out before twilight from your balcony, grab the beach chairs and head down to catch the sunset. A private washer/dryer allows you take care of any laundry you may have. Step out onto the front patio and enjoy the views of the National Wildlife Refuge across the street.

quiet beach retreat with room to relax

We enjoyed our stay in this home. There was plenty of room to relax, large windows to see outside, cozy furniture, and plenty of hot water. The quiet community had us close to the beach and a short drive to Lincoln City, but it felt like we were a million miles away from anywhere. We would certainly go back with a larger group as there was so much room we would not feel crowded.

Oregon Coast Getaway

Home was in same area of Beautiful Neskowin Beach State Recreation Site. 5 min drive from the house.to parking area - then less than 5 min walk to beach.Home was very comfortable for family 5 adults 4yr & 15 month. 3 separate bathrooms and downstairs bathroom with laundry room for easy clean up from a day at the beach. Lincoln City 20 mins plenty of beautiful beaches/shops/restaurants. Lighthouses within an hours. Oregon Coast Aquarium 1 hr. Tillamook Creamery 45 mins.Great home base !

Idaho vacationers

The place is nice, would consider renting again. Did get a bit of a scare when a bar broke into the garbage can. Dumped it a second time and put it into garage. Plenty of space, good distance to the ocean, and a nice kitchen to cook in.

Ants and gnats every where. Not enough basic cleaning items, like dish sponge. Downstairs bunk beds are not sturdy. Neighbors chain sawing at 7 am in the morning.

Lovely home perched in the trees. Perfect great room and kitchen area. 10 minute walk to beach. We are older and were fine with the stairs, but you might want to include it in the information. Also I wa told there are no Hair dryers. You might want to include that in amenities, because there was a Hairdryer.haircdruer.

Location is great.

If you are looking for a cute area and close private beach, this is a great place for that. Walk to the beach in a few minutes. The house was ok. The power upstairs didn’t work, but the rest of the house did. There were a good amount of ants all around the house. The information to get into the house was wrong and it took some time for the property management company to get us the correct info. The key pad never worked and maybe had something to do with the no power in the one section of the house. Overall the house was fine, we can manage the issues we had. But really enjoyed the location and beach with hardly anyone else out there. Fun exploring with the family.

Thrashed, dirty & neglected home; terrible Vacasa experience!

We have rented a Rain or Shine Neskowin home several times…after our July 2021 trip…we would NOT recommend this it or Vacasa’s services!! We arrived to find the house dirty, thrashed, items were broken & stained! (Please, see attached pictures that I have posted on my Yelp review) Immediately, we reached out to Vacasa upon arrival & discovering the home’s condition. Yet, no one returned our call for 24 hours. We called the next day, we kept calling & had to talk to several people to try to get things remedied. Dealing with Vacasa was a time-consuming negative experience. The vacuum in the house was broken & we requested a new one. Two days into our trip, the local manager finally brought a brand-new vacuum & when we used it, we filled up the canister with dirt by just vacuuming one hallway! Disgusting filth that we’d been living on top of & when we sent pictures of the dirty vacuum to the local manager, she had no response! In the house, many blinds, screens, windows, patio furniture, lamps, lampshades, light switches/electrical outlets, doorknobs, etc. were broken & un-useable. The BBQ, sofas, patio furniture, light fixtures, above & underneath the refrigerator, dishes, etc. all had caked on food, dirt, debris, spiderwebs, etc. and we’re disgustingly dirty! There was a big red carpet stain in the living room by the sofa. Blankets & rugs were just wadded up & thrown on furniture or in the corners of the closets. Hair & debris were found in the freezer. Trash & debris were found around the inside & outside of the home. The windows were gross & clearly had NOT been cleaned for quite a while! They were so dirty; we couldn’t even see out of some of them! When we read on Vacasa’s website plus all client correspondence, the extent that they pledge they go through for cleaning, using EPA products, AND disinfecting the homes to keep their staff & guests safe, the reality was NOT the same. We witnessed their cleaner, her products (& lack of personal protective equipment, like no gloves) and the evidence in this home was a night and day experience from what Vacasa promises. The Director of Operations Support, even has a YouTube video on behalf of Vacasa regarding all of their cleaning techniques and pledge as a company. She states in her video that their company standards match the CDC, VRMA & VRHP SafeHome standards. Not what we witnessed here & we left our vacay early due to their negligence!

Ehh.

There are ants in the kitchen and bathrooms. The TV is partly in working order (will randomly shut off, apps dont work). There were, what we believe to be raccoons, fighting in the attic space at night. When we arrived the garbage outside was not secured, so there was trash from the previous occupants spilled on the side of the house from the raccoons. House was mostly functional, but outdated. The price was lower than other similar properties, which after our stay makes sense. Overall decent property for the price.

Great location

The location was great and within walking distance to the beach. The house was agreed size for families with children. The house could use a bit more of a clean and there was a terrible ant problem in the kitchen and bathrooms. Ants were everywhere we really couldn’t eat at the table or use the kitchen for that matter.

It was great!

I rated the cleanliness as a 4- there were ants in the bathroom- although there were ant traps in the kitchen, so I just moved one into the bathroom, and problem solved. The carpets appeared to be new, which was nice. The check-in process was great- it was completely contactless- I was texted the passcode to the house while I was on route, and had no need of any other sort of assistance. The house was a short walk to the beach, and you could walk down the beach to proposal rock, and the Neskowin ghost forest. The neighborhood was great for riding our bikes. It was a great getaway!

Great location

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the kids loved that we could walk to the ocean. Weather cooperated as well! Only disappointment was that there were wonderful VHS tapes which the kids were excited about, but no means of playing them. Everything was really very very good!

A quiet and peaceful rental

We liked the size and layout of the house and the access to the beach (a walk through the dunes to it). It was clean and well-stocked. However, it could use some 'beach property' maintenance. The windows are rusting and some were not working well. Windows also need a good washing. The house is in a very quiet area and our stay was a great respite from the chaos of the world right now.

Perfect Private Getaway

We loved staying here. Home is very clean, spacious, had everything we needed and was very quiet. It’s a short walk to the beach and easy access. Fun having a fire pit out back too. We’d love to book this home again.

Simple and functional

This was a nice, private house with direct beach access. It was very clean when we arrived. Some of the fixtures and furnitures were a bit worn but it was what we expected at a beach house. The house setup was well thought out. Unfortunately the outside faucet for washing sand off your feet was inoperable, and we felt like there was a lack of instruction around the outside garbage collection among some of the other amenities but Vacasa got right back to us when we emailed them questions. We would stay here again. It’s a lovely home.

Birthday weekend getaway

Would love to give this home 5 stars but...I agree with what others wrote about maintenance (broken screens, lampshade) AND the house needs a GOOD deep cleaning. The top of the frig & the sofa stains were gross; the coffee maker & toaster need to be deep cleaned or replaced; & we were surprised to find a dirty diaper on the balcony! Some appliances have been updated yet most amenities are bare minimal. Like no ice maker in the freezer. Also, bring your own wood for the fireplace & extra blankets, if you get cold at night. All that being said, this house is really cute & comfy. We loved the quiet location in the quaint town of Neskowin. Only a short hike to the beach down a trail & we loved that this house was at the top of that trail, so no other foot traffic around the home...very private. Although there’s no ocean view, it’s just on the other side of some trees & the sound of the waves are awesome from the deck! The ping-pong table was a highlight of our stay! A very memorable birthday weekend, our batteries recharged & we hope to return again someday.
