The property was extremely well kept and resourced. It had everything you would need for a pleasant holiday. Emma was easy to contact and helpful. The location was fine apart from all the steps, almost 200 down to the beach where most of the restaurants are located. The lack of public transport (buses) made the location a bit difficult. Could do with a smaller table and two chairs on the lower balcony.

beautiful!

amazing apartment with everything you need and a fabulous roof terrace that you will struggle to leave. great location with the beach just a 5 minute walk away and some lovely bars/restaurants within the same area. Just a 20 minute walk into the old town which is lovely. It was our second time visiting this apartment for a 4 day break and we will definitely be going back.

Spectacular View - Great Apartment

We have been holidaying around The Med for 25 years and this is easily the best appointed apartment we have stayed at. The view is spectacular. Engagement with Emma before our stay was prompt, helpful and very much appreciated. The apartment itself provided a very comfortable stay. The decor was fresh and bright and everything worked. The terraces were excellent, although one small suggestion would be to put a smaller table in the lower terrace to free up some room around the space. The steep walk down to the beach, through the well maintained, beautifully manicured landscaping of Capistrano Playa, was very pleasant. The climb back up is a time to consider the level of your fitness and how much you value that view. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay at the apartment and would hope to return soon.

Relaxing break

Lovely little apartment for 2. Great location with wonderful views, good balcony and roof terrace, on a pretty complex with beautiful gardens and not overlooked. Nice walk to Burriana beach through the complex and about 20 minutes to Nerja and a short drive to Frigiliana. We would definitely return to this apartment. Would definitely return.

Fantastic apartment with fantastic views. Only down is that the washing machine is on the top level and if you don't like heights may be a problem. Great liaison with Emma the owner who was helpful at all times. Took us a while to work out the bus into Burriana/Nerja but stops just next to the rubbish bins 2 mins walk from the apt and runs regularly but not between 2-5pm presumably because of siesta time! The walk to Burriana is lovely through the gardens and most of it is private. Supermarket is 15 min walk away - they do deliveries but it appears that you have to shop in store and they deliver the following day. Didn't try it so can't comment on reliability. Overall though fantastic place to stay - the pool is a 1 min walk and if you fancy a coffee before they open at 10am the cafe attached just around the corner is open earlier!

Wonderful Stay in Nerja

We loved this property and the 5 day stay in Nerja. This penthouse has an almost unobstructed180 degree view of the Mediterranean Sea and we loved sitting on the deck and just looking. The one-bedroom apartment is smallish as indicated in the photos, but plenty of room for two people and we did not feel crowded at all. The apartment was very clean, the linens and sheets were good and the bed was comfortable. There are a lot of steps to get down to the beach below, but we made the trip a least twice a day and it was easy. The beach is directly below the complex (Capistrano Playa) and has a lot of good restaurants, bars and little shops. The penthouse is well appointed and quite modern (recently remodeled?). We loved our stay in this Penthouse and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Best View In The Complex

We really enjoyed our stay at Capistrano Playa. What we loved: -the view is the best in the complex. Morning sun on the two balconies and afternoon sun on the roof balcony. Many units have either morning or afternoon sun. This unit has both given its unique location. -location close to Burriana Beach and Old Town Nerja is great. Many have commented about the number of stairs up from the beach; yes, this could be an issue for some. We didn’t mind and enjoyed the climb up through the tropical gardens and waterfall. -parking was always available outside our door but we were there in November and this might be more of an issue in peak season. -the bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. These are 2 key issues that are most important to us. -a small item we appreciated was the Bose Bluetooth speaker for playing music. -the kitchen had everything we needed for eating in, which we did quite often over our 3 week stay. -the roof deck washing machine and drying rack worked well and are essential for a 3 week stay. Things that could be improved: -the table on the balcony is too large for the space and could use one more comfortable chair. -the drip coffee maker doesn’t work very well but we preferred the French Press that was provided. -if you like to watch TV you may find the very small TV and sound quality an issue. Emma was an excellent host who responded immediately to any inquiries. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Lovely stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at No.522. The views are amazing and the place is very thoughtfully and stylishly equipped. The walk down to the seafront was unexpectedly beautiful thro the well kept and beautifully stocked gardens. Taking the 199 steps at least once a day ensured we stayed active inbeteeen enjoying the lovely food and drinks available along the ‘strip’. Communication with Emma was excellent, very helpful. I would say that unless a lot of steps are a problem, or you want to sit and watch tv, you would struggle to find a nicer, better value place for a couple to stay in Nerja. Would certainly stay here again should we return to the area.

Fabulous. Highly recommended!

A perfect apartment for two. The views over the Med are amazing. The apartment has everything you need, and we cooked a few times (10 minute walk to the nearest Mercadona and there is a wheelie shopping bag in the apartment to help). Two verandas - if you are sun worshipers the upper one is amazing, and has views to the mountains and the sea. We were glad of the two sunshades! We rarely used the air con as the overhead fan and gentle breeze from the open door in the bedroom was enough. The communal pool area was great. It never got too busy and there is shade, sun loungers (4€) and a snack bar too. The whole complex is very well maintained, and the gardens are particularly beautiful. The walk down and up the steps to the Burriana Beach is worth the effort, but as an overweight, menopausal woman, I saw it as a challenge rather than off putting. I’m not going to lie, it is hard, but well worth it for the beach and great restaurants. Takes about 10 minutes to get back up. 15 mins to walk into beautiful Nerja. Our communication with Emma the owner was great and she was very helpful.

Fabulous apartment, great location

This is a lovely little apartment, well furnished, spotlessly clean with a great view over the sea. It’s a 10 minute walk to Burriana beach and all the bars & restaurants (quite a steep climb back up!) and a 30 second walk to the pool where there are sun loungers, bar and cafe. The owner is very responsive and happy to answer any queries. Would highly recommend, perfect for a couple.

Great apartment, great location

Fantastic penthouse property on a nice complex, the only property not overlooked. We couldn’t find the BBQ that was listed but we decided to eat out every night, so it wasn’t a problem. It’s around 250 steps down to the beach, which would be difficult if not mobile, but was a great bit of exercise for us. To walk into the old town, you also need to go down the steps then up a hill, it’s a good walk after a meal and some drinks. The property did not feel as clean as you would like but we put everything into the dishwasher and had a quick wipe around, I do not think the apartment had been used for a while, so it was not a problem. Overall a great stay, fantastic property in a great location, not recommended for people with mobility issues.

Great apartment with amazing views

We have been to Nerja many times and this is the best apartment we have stayed in. The apartment looks exactly like the photos and was very clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked really well (although there was usually a breeze through the apartment and we never needed to use the air conditioning in the living room). The two terraces are the highlight of the apartment - very private and quiet with the most amazing views of the sea and mountains. It was always possible to get shade on the lower terrace (necessary in August!) and the upper terrace had sun all day - it would be fantastic in winter. We really enjoyed the walk into town, down through the landscaped gardens and then up the Burriana hill - it took about 20 minutes but was very manageable, even in the August heat. This will be at the top of our list of places to stay the next time we’re in Nerja (and we were very disappointed to see it’s not available in January!)
